Crowd boos and jeers, demands Paul be allowed to answer.

A remarkable scene unfolded during last night’s CNN hosted South Carolina debate when not once but twice, the audience had to intervene to ensure that Ron Paul be included in questions, as host John King attempted to skip over the Congressman following answers from the other three candidates.

Even more remarkable was the fact that both times the questions were related to medical issues and Ron Paul is the only qualified doctor among all the candidates.

Between the sideshow of Newt Gingrich’s infidelity and yet more mudslinging and circus like back and forths between Romney, Gingrich and Santorum, Ron Paul did his best to speak on real issues such as cutting foreign military spending, protecting the borders and the need to reform the government-run health care system.

However, when it came to two key questions it was left to the audience to remind the CNN anchors that Ron Paul was up on the stage and that voters wanted to hear him speak.

The first instance occurred when King somewhat reluctantly threw Ron Paul the question “would you repeal Obamacare?” following answers from the rest of the field.

To wild ironic cheering and whooping from the audience acknowledging that Ron Paul had finally been included in the question, the Congressman exclaimed “PHEW, I thought maybe you were prejudiced against doctors and the doctor that practiced medicine in the military or something!”

The second instance of CNN completely ignoring Paul occurred when King attempted to switch subjects from the issue of abortion without asking for Ron Paul’s thoughts.

“All right, let’s take another question,” King said after hearing from the other three candidates only. “Let’s take a question now from social media…”

Only when the audience began to boo and jeer, asking for Ron Paul to be afforded the opportunity to answer, did King allow the Congressman to speak.

“…before we move on, you want in on this issue?” King said to Paul, “They want you in on this issue…” King added, addressing the audience.

“John, once again, it’s a medical subject. I’m a doctor,” Paul protested, drawing cheers from the crowd before giving his thoughts.

The blatant attempt by King and CNN to bypass Ron Paul, represents yet another example of the mainstream media downplaying and sidelining the only real anti-establishment candidate.

With Rick Perry having dropped out earlier in the day, there were just four candidates left on stage, yet Ron Paul was STILL afforded significantly less speaking time than his GOP rivals.

However, Paul still gave a strong performance, topping all the post debate analysis polling.

Following the debate, Congressman Paul sent an email to his supporters regarding his debate showing.

“My debate performance tonight is already turning heads.” Paul wrote. “What the crowd saw tonight was my opponents savaging each other over and over in a desperate attempt to defend their Big Government records. Me? I wasn’t touched once. Because quite frankly, I can’t be. I’ve spent 30 years fighting against establishment politicians – like my opponents – to finally put an END to politics as usual.”

South Carolina Primary News. Ron Paul is currently raising funds for South Carolina, if you wish to help mr. Paul, please visit his website.

• Ahead of the South Carolina primary taking place tomorrow (Saturday), four conservative State Senators in South Carolina have come forward to endorse Ron Paul in what continues to be a movement back towards liberty– much more than just a campaign for elected office. Initial results in a Newsday poll show that Ron Paul overwhelmingly won the South Carolina debate hosted by CNN, even as the media focused in on Newt’s reaction to scandals in his personal life.

Is Gingrich’s support base really out there, or just a figment of the corporate media’s imagination? Newt Gingrich still leads in many polls for the South Carolina primary, but how? Yet another Gingrich campaign event was canceled due to poor attendance. The AP reported that the candidate stepped down from a speaking engagement with the Southern Republican Leadership.

Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman abandoned his attempt at the Republican Party’s nod on Monday, not just narrowing the number of candidates vying for the GOP nomination but potentially pushing the contest in favor of Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

The announcement from the Huntsman camp came early Monday, only days after the candidate took third place in the New Hampshire primary. While Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann was prompted to pull out of the race following dismal polling in the granite state, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry — who gathered substantially less votes that Huntsman — remain in the race.

Now unless the pack of three bringing up the rear in the race can see a resurgence of success on the road to the South Carolina primary, the path to the Republican Party nomination seems certain to be a two-man race between Romney and Paul. Given his continuing surge in support coupled with a surprise second place win in New Hampshire, positive polling down south and the ability to reclaim votes from the Huntsman fan base, Congressman Paul stands to capitalize on having his contender call it quits.

In the contest to offer the GOP an everyman’s alternative to millionaire Mitt Romney, Paul and Huntsman have gone head-to-head in recent weeks, especially after the two placed second and third in New Hampshire, respectively. While Paul has made it known that he is an unyielding libertarian thanks to a massive national campaign, Huntsman also subscribes to those ideologies and has managed to make his candidacy thrive thus far on the votes of those skeptic of Ron Paul, portrayed by the media as an unelectable, fringe candidate. Now with Huntsman out of the picture, however, libertarian-leaning voters will be apt to side with Congressman Paul, although officially Romney will be endorsed by the soon-to-be out-of-the-race candidate.

Depending on how voters formerly aligned with Huntsman chose to cast their voice in South Carolina, Congressman Paul could continue his streak of upsets and secure a victory in the upcoming primary.

At least two polls put out in recent days suggest that Paul’s support in South Carolina is only surging upwards, a trend that could be accelerated with Huntsman out of the picture. On Friday, American Research Group put Romney at first place with 29 percent of the votes and Paul close behind at 20 percent. In-between was former House Speaker Newt Gingrich with 25 percent of the votes, which comes as a shock to many after he barely claimed 9 percent of the audience days earlier in New Hampshire.

In an entirely different poll put out this weekend, Rasmussen Reports suggests that Paul has seen a surge in popularity in South Carolina in recent days, capturing five more percentage points than only a week earlier. At the same time, Rasmussen’s polling put Paul’s closest competition as Rick Santorum, who saw a drop of eight percentage points during the same span.

Following the second-place win in New Hampshire, Ron Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said, “When added to Paul’s top-tier showing in Iowa, it’s clear he is the sole Republican candidate who can take on and defeat both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.”

From South Carolina on Saturday night, even Fox News amplified that point.

During a forum hosted by Mike Huckabee in which the former GOP-contender himself asked questions to Republican candidates in front of a live audience, one member of the crowd was asked to toss a question to Mitt Romney. “How do you plan on getting us on board with you and convincing us that you and Obama aren’t just different sides of the same coin?” asked a young man during the event. Romney responded by switching to a cookie-cutter answer that harped on his experience with the private sector and by-and-large deflected from the actual question. When Fox asked the audience member if he was satisfied, he confronted Romney for skipping the question and said on air, “I’m more for Ron Paul after this, even though he’s not even here.”

Five point gain means Paul is tied in second place overall with Independents and Republicans.

Following his effective tied win in Iowa, GOP candidate Ron Paul has seen a surge in popularity nationally according to an influential poll released this week.

Paul is now tied for second place nationally among Republicans and Independents, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The Texas Congressman now stands at 17 percent, according to the poll, tied with Newt Gingrich. The notable trend, however, is that while Paul has jumped a full five percentage points since December, Gingrich has plummeted by 8 points.

Among Republican voters alone, Paul has jumped by 4 points nationally and now stands at 16 percent. Gingrich again slipped by 8 points among Republicans alone, leaving him at 20 percent.

Mitt Romney still holds a considerable lead with 29 percent among republicans and Independents and 30 percent among Republicans alone.

The poll was conducted before Ron Paul’s strong second place showing in New Hampshire. It now appears that Gingrich finished fifth in New Hampshire, behind Rick Santorum, with around 9 percent. Given these statistics, Paul is likely to surge further nationally and Gingrich is likely to slip even further.

Another notable finding from the poll is that Paul is second only to Romney when it comes to a head to head match up with Obama.

Obama bests Romney by 5 percentage points, 48 to 43. Paul falls short of Obama by 7 percentage points, 48 to 41. In comparison, Santorum loses by 11 percentage points, 51 to 40 and Gingrich loses by 15 percentage points, 53 to 38.

When factoring in Democrat voters who are disillusioned with Obama, Paul’s numbers will undoubtedly increase once more.

Indeed, as Neil Cavuto explains below, it is Ron Paul who is the major threat to Obama, more so than Mitt Romney:

New Hampshire will host the nation’s first primary of 2012 on Tuesday, and although Election Day is still months away, it looks to be a heated matchup between President Obama and the top-tier Republican candidates.

No matter which GOP hopeful walks away from New Hampshire with this win Wednesday morning, the frontrunners in the race for the Republican Party now all pose a viable threat to President Barack Obama according to the latest polling from CBS News. Conducted following last week’s slim win for Mitt Romney during the Iowa caucus, the results of the latest poll suggest that the big guns among the GOP are about to give Obama a run for his money.

When quizzed to choose between a top-tier Republican and Barack Obama, the current president managed to only escape the hypothetical race as the victor in a few instances.

In the imagined match-up between Obama and Texas Congressman Ron Paul, the two are at a statistical tie.

In a poll of over 1,400 adults, 45 percent say that they would vote Ron Paul in a two-person race for the presidency against Barack Obama. The current commander-in-chief only managed to poll in 46 percent favoritism, putting the two in a statistical tie given the margin of error of 3 percentage points. In that make-believe race, Paul also secures 10 percent of the Democratic vote, even if running as a Republican. The congressman also surpasses the president in popularity among independent voters, garnering 47 percent of the vote from that group to Obama’s 40.

President Obama is guaranteed the victor in all of the other two-person match-ups imagined by CBS, except in the case of Obama against Mitt Romney. In such a race, the pool of voters polled give Romney the win with 47 percentage points to Obama’s 45, still putting a win for either a clear possibility given the 3 point margin of error.

Who will prevail in a race against Obama is a matter to be realized in only nine months’ time. Meanwhile, however, the results of the poll suggest one thing for sure. Mitt Romney’s reign as Republican Party frontrunner is waning as Ron Paul continues to soar with support.

“We’ve called this contest a two-man race between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney, and this poll is further proof of that,” Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton says in a statement. “It also demonstrates Ron Paul’s support among independents, an important voting segment within which our candidate is strong.”

As the Rick Santorum campaign loses steam after a near-win in Iowa last week, the top-tier of GOP hopefuls continues to be former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Paul, despite a smear campaign waged against the Texas congressman by the establishment that seems to be running scared with the real possibility of a Paul presidency. Jon Huntsman has in recent days seen a surge in popularity and current polling out of Suffolk University suggest that he or Paul pose the only threat to Romney at this time.

“The battle for second place will be determined by which candidate has the best field organization to bring out the votes today,” David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center in Boston, writes Tuesday. “A good get-out-the-vote-operation accounts for up to 5 points, which can impact an expected outcome.”

While Suffolk’s latest polling released Tuesday still put Romney on top, his popularity slipped during the five consecutive days preceding the primary. Ron Paul has maintained a solid presence in second place throughout the campaign in New Hampshire. Last week in Iowa, Paul walked away with third place in a victory that yielded Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to suspend her run.

An economic collapse. An end to American exceptionalism. Out all chaos and unrest. It isn’t a pretty picture, but it could be a very likely reality for the future of the United States — and Ron Paul isn’t afraid to admit it.

As the congressman from Texas takes the lead in Iowa one week before the state’s caucus is set to start, the libertarian-leaning lawmaker is warning of doom and gloom for the US if the country continues the downward spiral that is dragging almost every aspect of the American way of life. Jobs are leaving, freedoms are crumbling and the US dollar is quickly becoming worthless.

The truth hurts, but for the voters, it needs to be said. Representative Paul knows it and the polls suggest it’s something that is needed to be said.

Paul’s fellow frontrunners in the race for the Republican Party’s nomination have largely refrained from straying from mainstream GOP ideologies. While Paul is no doubt a career conservative, he has managed to separate himself from the rest of the pack by suggesting that the weary ways of modern America aren’t all that his peers have cracked them out to be. Rather, says Paul, America is destined to fail any further if it doesn’t try to pick itself up and piece it back together.

During recent Republican Party debates, GOP contenders have all but waged war with competing nations to continue with America’s policy of governing the globe. According to Paul, however, it is that elitist attitude which is spawning terrorist attacks and other strikes against the States. Fellow GOP hopeful Michele Bachmann writes Paul’s philosophies on such as ludicrous and detrimental to American security, but for the only Republican contender with military experience — and decades in office — he not only thinks otherwise but would seem to know best.

Others have remained amazingly optimistic about America’s economy but have not come close to proposing a legitimate plan for revamping it. Paul, however, recently warned that the current conditions of the country come close to mimicking that of the Soviet Union before its collapse. To avoid this, warns the congressman, America should stop fighting wars overseas, abolish the Federal Reserve and a series of other unnecessary offices if it wants to save its economy.

Once again, all other contenders won’t come close to tackling an issue that doesn’t go hand-in-hand with the mainstream goals of the GOP. Paul, however, wants to end the fed and foreign aid, a move that he says in part could add $1 trillion to America’s budget in only one years’ time.

Radical ideas? Absolutely. But with the last few administrations only worsening America’s standing, a change of pace is without a doubt what America needs to get back on track. That’s why Paul’s supporters — Middle American conservatives concerned about a collapse of the country and young adults thinking outside the box — are coming together in droves.

Those rooting for the Republican congressman are doing so strong enough that they have propelled their candidate to first place in the polls in Iowa. The mainstream media and core GOP establishment, as a result, are not running scared. Does it guarantee a victory for the lawmaker come next week? It could be. Regardless of the outcome, however, it looks as though Paul isn’t afraid to speak his mind and more and more Americans are becoming scared of those that can’t.

For once, I find myself on the same side as David Cameron, the David who stands alone against the fiendish Goliath of the European Union, that all-engulfing rampaging monster which gobbles up national identities, disregarding its citizens as it makes sweeping decisions over their heads, sending the lemmings scurrying over the cliff-edge…

I could not have disagreed more with David Cameron over his policy in Libya, as indeed I have disagreed with Britain’s jingoistic and arrogant foreign policy for as long as I can remember – the last five Prime Ministers have been involved in nine wars, sowing the seeds of hatred for years to come, as the Foreign Office believes it is a sort of external Department of Trade and Industry and sees military campaigns as good business.

The bottom line cementing where I agree with David Cameron on the first point and disagree on the second is based upon the notion of sovereignty in a globalised world.

Globalisation, sovereignty and federalism

Those of us who dreamed of a global nation of brothers and sisters living along the shores of our common lake – the seas – helping one another more through altruism than self-interest, have been brought tumbling to Earth time and time again as collectively, a great number of nations, usually centred around NATO, egged on by the nonchalance or disinterest of the rest of the international community, committed outrages against international law, human rights and common decency.

Those who had hoped that globalisation of economies would walk hand-in-hand with a new globalised spirit of common values, common practices of goodwill and a new spirit of fraternal relations, looked on aghast as the world community proved incapable of solving the Middle East crisis (basically through an absence of will fuelled by interests and lobbying) and as NATO swung into action against Serbia, supporting Albanian terrorists, then Afghanistan (and no, the real reason was not 9/11 but that is a long story), then Iraq and now Libya. The sovereignty of these nations was disrespected, flouting the terms of the UN Charter, UNSC resolutions and violating the norms of all diplomatic agreements since Westphalia (1648) and in the unilateral creation of “Kosovo”, the countries jumping on the bandwagon disregarded their obligations under the Helsinki Final Act (1975).

This Act was signed by the USA, Canada and all European States with the exception of Albania and Andorra and its underlying principle was the recognition of existing frontiers, the laying down of guidelines for sovereignty and the inviolability of this precept. While the foreign policy of David Cameron’s United Kingdom has violated this principle, along with its NATO bed pals in recent decades (and we ask, how Constitutional is NATO in its Member States, for where in any Constitution can the conduct of a State’s foreign policy be handed over to external parties?), his courageous stance on Europe is commendable.

Only yesterday, as I called him a “spineless jellyfish” I was hoping that he would prove me wrong, and I am very happy to say that he has. The question as to whether it was a strategic or a political one, pandering more to the needs to hold together his own party after a substantial number of Tory backbenchers started showing signs of revolt, is irrelevant.

The point is that David Cameron’s stance is one in favour of sovereignty and the European Union’s is not. And what happened this Thursday and Friday in Brussels is worthy of note: one nation stood up to the Euro-monster, which dictates your internal policy to you, controlling your finances, controlling your fiscal policy, controlling your national interests and imposing sanctions when national policy fails to implement the Grand Plan. David Cameron’s position is one of Sovereignty versus Federalism.

It makes sense to form a Federation out of States certainly with a common identity, probably with common values, maybe not common cultures. How, then, do you form a Federation out of the Tower of Babel which is the European Union? Compare the USA, the Russian Federation, the Federal States of Micronesia and Brazil with the European Union and you will see that where it makes sense with the former, it certainly does not in the case of the latter.

The last five thousand years of history have taught Europe to stand together through Treaties of friendship and cooperation, which is largely what existed with EFTA and with the beginning of the Common Market but which has been overtaken by a fast-lane occupied by budding Eurocrats who have tried to go too far and too fast. What happens to those who drive too fast and do not pay attention to where they are going?

Twenty-six nations, joined by Sweden, Hungary and the Czech Republic, countries which had initially stood alongside Britain but which buckled spectacularly under the pressure at the last minute, will now try to get out of the hole they have dug for themselves by digging themselves further in. They will not ask their citizens whether they want to have their sovereignty taken further away from them, they will just plough ahead and guess who will pay for the consequences of their actions?

David Cameron can sleep well tonight knowing he stepped out of the hole at the right moment and knowing that the UK is the one country in the European Union that can use leverage mechanisms which its partners have signed away. David Cameron knows that he has an Atlantic trading triangle to exploit with the USA and Canada, and the UK has the Commonwealth which it turned its back upon partially when it joined the EU. David Cameron has defended his country’s sovereignty, the UK has options.

And therefore those thirty kilometres of Channel which separate the British Isles from France may just be enough for the EU not to constitute a stone around Britain’s neck when it sinks. When it does, the citizens of the EU will look to their leaders and ask them why they did not act like David Cameron. 26 against 1 does not necessarily mean that the 26 are right.

Handily defeats GOP competitors Cain, Romney and Gingrich in online and in-person contest limited to Illinois residents.

2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul earned another straw poll victory tonight, this time winning 52 percent of 3,649 votes cast in an Illinois statewide Republican contest held online and in-person.

Dr. Paul handily beat Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich, who garnered 18, 14, and 9 percent of the votes, respectively. Rick Perry earned a mere 2.5 percent of the vote, John Huntsman 1.5 percent, Rick Santorum 1.2 percent, followed by Michele Bachmann with just 1.1 percent.

“This straw poll victory demonstrates the groundswell of support for Ron Paul and his winning message, as well as the organizational muscle presidential candidates require,” said Scott Davis, Illinois State Chair for the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign. “Straw poll participants were Illinois residents who support the Illinois Republican Party and Ron Paul for the presidency, so this contest is relevant and representative.”

The 2012 Illinois Republican Pre-Presidential Straw Poll was the first mainly online poll of its kind. The one-week poll began on 9:00 a.m. CT Saturday, October 29th and concluded tonight, November 5th, at 7:00 p.m. CT. In order to participate, voters were required to be Illinois residents and to make a minimum $5 contribution benefiting the Illinois Republican Party. The poll was taken at http://www.illinoisstrawpoll.com/.

Today throughout Illinois there also were a number of Republican activities where voters cast their vote in person instead of online. U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R) was among the Republican luminaries traveling around to different county and township events today as localities hosted in-person voting opportunities. Ron Paul was declared the winner at the Republican Party headquarters in Downtown Chicago at an event hosted by Eloise Gerson, 42nd Ward Republican Committeeman and Chicago GOP Chairwoman. Senator Kirk was also in attendance.

Complete straw poll results are as follows:

Paul 52%
Cain 18%
Romney 14%
Gingrich 9%
Perry 2.5%
Huntsman 1.5%
Santorum 1.2%
Bachmann 1.1%

Terry Jones, a controversial pastor who has made national headlines for publicly burning the Quran, is mounting a campaign for president of the United States.

Jones isn’t starting small either, and it seems he’s going straight for the big leagues. The campaign, named “Stand Up America Now,” aims to propel him to the White House largely on a seven-point platform which includes deporting all “illegals” and immediately bringing all of the troops home, according to ABC Action News.

(Scroll down to read the full seven point platform via the Stand Up America Now website.)

The pastor’s message appears to remain anti-Muslim. A statement from Jones announcing his campaign goes as far as to solicit donations in order to specifically oppose radical Islam according to Fox News. “Please financially support us as we continue our stand against radical Islam,” it reads.

Jones gained a level of infamy after President Barack Obama was forced to request he not burn a copy of the Quran on the anniversary of 9/11 in 2010. Though he cancelled his initial plans, he ultimately followed through on his word and burned the religious text in March. The act sparked widespread protests in Afghanistan, some of which turned deadly.

Below, a look at the Jones campaign platform.

Our campaign promises or agenda:

1. Stop overspending immediately.

We are now overspending by 4 billion dollars a day.

2. Balance the budget.

If this is not done, then we will experience a total collapse of our economy and way of life.

3. Reduce military spending.

All military on foreign soil should be brought back immediately and all future involvement of

military on foreign soil should not be engaged until our country has become economically

strong again. The security of our nation must be reexamined and our military spending must

be cut by several billion dollars.

4. Deport all illegals.

We must immediately begin the deportation of the 20 million illegal aliens living in our country.

This would be an operation similar to what Eisenhower did to provide jobs for the soldiers

who were coming home after the war.

5. Also saving us 400 billion dollars per year.

6. Reduce corporate taxes.

Our corporate taxes are the highest in the world. Corporate taxes must be reduced

immediately in order to encourage people to start new businesses and existing corporations

to expand, thus producing the jobs that are needed.

7. Reduce bureaucracy. We must reexamine the bureaucracy of our government and

businesses. We are dying and drowning in bureaucracy, rules and regulations. Companies

must be held accountable for the consumer’s protection, but the over-control and overkill

that we have is destroying our companies.

Pat Buchanan, always a gentleman, refuses to back down when asked by NPR about his most recent appearance on The Political Cesspool Radio Program.

In the meantime, the story of Pat’s latest interview with us is quickly becoming a top news story. Here is one example:

African American political advocacy group Color Of Change has called for MSNBC to fire longtime analyst (and even longer-time lightning rod) Pat Buchanan for what it called his “white supremacist ideology.”

The advocacy group sent petition letters to its members on Tuesday. The letter said that MSNBC gives Buchanan a platform to pass off his often loaded remarks as “legitimate mainstream political commentary.”

While Color of Change cited comments made by Buchanan from as early as March 2008, the advocacy group highlighted Buchanan’s new book “Suicide Of A Superpower” and a Saturday appearance on the controversial radio show “The Political Cesspool” (whose host has described his ideology as “pro-white”) as current reasons the network should fire Buchanan.

“Buchanan has just published a book which says that increasing racial diversity is a threat to this country and will mean the ‘End of White America.’ This weekend, to promote his book, he went on a white supremacist radio show…” read the “Fire Pat Buchanan” petition letter.

Buchanan also appeared on NPR’s “The Diane Rehm Show” on Tuesday and further discussed his new book and radio show appearance on “Political Cesspool.”

He defended his decision to visit the radio show and asked “Am I supposed to go and vet all the people on these shows and get the list from [Anti-Defamation League chief] Abe Foxman on what shows I can go on to?”

Make no mistake, friends, in today’s political climate, false accusations such as “white supremacist,” “racist,” and “anti-Semite,” simply mean “unapologetic conservative white person.” These are just intimidating words that are employed to try and make folks like me, who liberals truly hate, go away. I wrote a book about this concept.

Speaking of books, why don’t you take the time to order Pat Buchanan’s newest bestseller and show the left what you think of the childish tactics of name-calling and untrue character assassination.

The Head of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia has called on ethnic Russians to vote for him. He also accused the US of exploiting Russia and the whole world, saying US special services were behind the 9/11 attacks.

Speaking in his trademark demagogic manner, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, told a party congress on Tuesday that their primary goal was to protect the rights of ethnic Russians. Zhirinovsky accused various forces – from the current Russian authorities, to liberal reformers of the 1990s, to agents of foreign governments – of conducting an elaborate policy aimed at the exploitation and even destruction of the Russian people.

The LDPR leader said that the current state of the Russian society is not entirely democratic and not entirely free, but rather, as he put it, a “hermaphrodite state”.

“We have neither private property, nor public, neither freedom, nor serfdom,” he said, adding that hermaphrodites cannot produce offspring and thus have no future.

In the past, Zhirinovsky has suggested that Russian men be able to legally marry more than one wife in order to address Russia’s deteriorating demographic situation.

He also said that the current attempts to build an interstate block on the basis of CIS and the CSTO were also doomed to fail for the same reason – lack of resolution and clarity.

Zhirinovsky said that former Soviet republics must join the Russian Federation as federal districts.

The Russian politician, however, did not confine himself to domestic topics. Indeed, the firebrand politician took aim at the United States, saying that the 9/11 attacks were a “provocation” staged by the US special services. He then listed many of the same arguments used by conspiracy theorists to prove his point:

“What sort of a terrorist would strike at 8-30 AM, when there is no one in the offices besides janitors,” he asked. “Why didn’t they order the air force to shoot down the hijacked planes?”

He then questioned the ways the towers dropped to the ground in free-fall speed, which some experts say prove that something else besides fire was responsible for being down the skyscrapers. “Two towers crashed onto their foundation in almost no time. This could only happen if it was a prepared demolition, if there were explosives planted on all floors,” he said.

Finally, Zhirinovsky asked why the hole in the Pentagon “was smaller than the aircraft that allegedly crashed into it.”

The LDPR leader added that if he does not get answers to these questions, he will consider the 9/11 terrorist attacks “a provocation”.

Zhirinovsky also said that he will run for president in the forthcoming elections and will officially propose his candidacy at the 24th LDPR Congress on December 13.

Zhirinovsky also announced that Valery Budanov will run for the Lower House on the LDPR party ticket. Budanov, a little-known lawyer, is the son of the ex-army colonel and nationalist icon Yuri Budanov who was shot dead in Moscow in June this year after serving a prison sentence for kidnapping and strangling a Chechen teenager while on a combat mission in Chechnya in 2000.

“Yes, Valery Yurievich Budanov is on our list. I bid his father the last farewell. I think we must support the family for it is a great grief to lose one’s father,” Zhirinovsky said. “We must pay attention to the military, as much as we can. This is not only about housing, this is also attention to families,” the politician said.

In comments to RT, Valery Budanov said that he saw the fate of the military as the most urgent challenge Russia is facing. Professional military servicemen are not protected by the state in ordinary life and have to solve numerous social problems, and those who return from combat in various “hot spots” suffer even more because they struggle to adjust to civilian life.

Congressman Ron Paul won 4,671 votes in today’s Iowa Republican Straw Poll, topping Governor Mitt Romney’s vote total from 2007 and drawing a near statistical tie with today’s winner at 27.6 percent of the vote versus 28.5 percent.

Dr. Paul’s finish earned him a strong second place and it was the fourth highest vote total ever received by a candidate at the important test of candidate strength.

Said campaign chairman Jesse Benton,

“Dr. Paul is surging in this race, and today’s results show the strength of his grassroots support and top notch organization.

“These straw poll results, our growing poll numbers and our strong fundraising shows that our message is resonating with Iowans and Americans everywhere.

“Our message was the same in 2007 as it is in now in 2011, but this time we have quadrupled our support. That means our message is spreading, our support is surging, and people are taking notice.

“We are uniting a coalition of longtime supporters, fiscal conservatives, constitutional conservatives, independents, tea party and anti-big government activists to take on the Washington establishment.

“Today, Ron Paul has emerged as a top tier candidate and is a serious contender to win the Republican nomination and the Presidency.”

Marine Le Pen the daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen recently became leader of the National Front succeeding her father. She is turning out to be a slick operator. With the French presidential elections less than a year away she is polling ahead of President Sarkozy.

She doesn’t deny that there used to anti-Semitism in the party. Now she says she has only one thing to say to anyone with those views “ You’re wrong in this respect. Adieu” She insists that the NF is not racist or anti-Semitic. In contrast to her father she describes the Holocaust as the “ height of barbarism”

She has a number of significant policies. She want to leave the Euro reintroduce customs borders. But above all Le Pen is critical of immigration but unlike her father she focuses on attacking Islam. She speaks of the disintegration of society into ethnic groups and she criticises prayers on the streets.

Throughout Europe many main stream parties are concerned about the rise of fringe parties and their increasing popularity. Well instead of branding them in many cases as a bunch of “ Racist extremists” they should face up to the fact these new parties are reflecting the grave concerns of the many of their citizens. The main stream parties are the ones out of touch.

Denmark is to put the barriers back up on its borders with Germany and Sweden. The move is not going down well with EU colleagues who say it violates Europe’s much-heralded open border agreement.

From Tuesday, 50 Danish customs officers will be stationed at the country’s borders to perform spot checks on vehicles. The move is part of a plan approved by parliament last Friday, which also see permanent buildings installed on the borders.

The Danish government insists that the re-establishment of border checkpoints is meant to prevent drug flow and illegal migrants from entering the country. The move is regarded as a bad sign by left-wing politicians and the opposition in Denmark itself, where many are seeing it as a concession to nationalists which may damage the country’s economy.

It has also been strongly opposed by EU officials in Brussels, and especially by Denmark’s neighbor Germany. They insist that this is a violation of the Schengen Agreement on open borders in Europe. They also say that this is not at all a wise move to make at a particularly volatile time for the European Union when members states are bickering over border disputes as well as over money issues. Some believe this may even herald the end of a united Europe.

But Danish officials insist that their move will not cause any damage to the free flow of goods, tourists and transportation across the border.

It is not the first time the issue has raised its head in the European Union recently. Earlier this year, France and Italy entered a bitter dispute over the flow of illegal migrants across their borders.

The situation has been aggravated by the extremely volatile situation in North Africa. Most of the migrants who come to Europe and flood countries like Denmark, Belgium, Italy and France are from the northern African region. This latest move by Denmark may send quite worrying signals to other European countries which may decide to follow suit.

Alex Salmond’s bid to open Scotland’s borders to thousands of immigrants has provoked a stinging rebuke from David Cameron and his Ministers.

In an unprecedented attack, the First Minister has been told Scots should be given the chance of any job vacancies and that immigration is already ‘out of control’.

Immigration Minister Damien Green has rejected Mr Salmond’s plea that Scotland should be exempt from UK immigration rules and that a wave of non-EU nationals should be allowed to settle north of the Border.

The rebuke will come as a major blow to Mr Salmond and the SNP, who want Scotland to be ‘open to all’ and believe more immigrants would boost the country’s economy.

Mr Salmond also put forward plans to allow thousands of jobless students from abroad to remain in the country.

Last night, Mr Green said: ‘For too long, immigration was allowed to get out of control. This government is committed to getting immigration back to sensible levels and in a way that’s good for the economy and public services.

‘Both the UK and Scottish governments must work to ensure that Scottish graduates and the workforce gain the opportunities and skills they need to benefit the labour market.

‘Unregulated access to jobs for graduates from overseas would undermine that goal.’ Recent figures revealed record numbers of asylum seekers and immigrants have already pushed the Scottish population to a 33-year high of 5.2 million.

Mr Salmond told Holyrood a month ago that Scotland is ‘open to all’ and that the country’s ‘strength’ is its diversity, arguing that more immigrants are required to boost the country’s economy.

The Scottish Government submitted its proposals to the Home Office in March after the Coalition announced tough new rules to limit the number of non-EU workers into the UK.

Home Secretary Theresa May set a tough new cap of 21,700 a year, with prospective workers told they must have a graduate-level job, speak an intermediate level of English and meet specific salary and employment requirements.

But SNP External Affairs Minister Fiona Hyslop argued that Scotland should be given an exception from the ‘damaging’ and ‘negative’ migration cap, insisting thousands of non-EU migrants should still be able to come there.

Critics warned the SNP proposals could result in a flood of new migrants at a time when joblessness is at its highest in years and when the economy is suffering from the worst recession in a generation.

There were also fears the plans could open the back door to fresh, unchecked UK immigration as migrants entered Scotland legally and worked for a short time before crossing the Border into England in search of better wages.

Mr Green took a similar view and, in a letter to the Scottish Government on June 6, he rejected the SNP request.

Last night, Miss Hyslop said: ‘The Scottish Government presented specific proposals to meet Scotland’s particular needs to achieve economic growth. We have received a response and are giving it due consideration.’

Tory Scotland Office Minister David Mundell said: ‘The SNP’s plans were totally unrealistic when we are trying to get a grip on immigration.

‘It’s virtually impossible stop people coming to Scotland and then going south to England. The only way would be to set up Border patrols, which is just ludicrous.’
