Alex is joined by Lord Christopher Monckton to discuss the latest attempt to build world government on a foundation of eco-fascism.

Specifically, Monckton writes that the summit aims include: “A new International Climate Court will have the power to compel Western nations to pay ever-larger sums to third-world countries in the name of making reparation for supposed “climate debt”. The Court will have no power over third-world countries. Here and throughout the draft, the West is the sole target. “The process” is now irredeemably anti-Western.

Many experts believe that the sold out EU leaders’ failure to address the Block’s deepening financial recession may possibly end in collapse of an EU dream.

In the meantime, professionals believe that the EU leaders’ failure to deal with the core issue, which, they say, is the endless rise of unrepeatable debt, is considered the same as, digging the hole still deeper, which may, eventually lead to disintegration of the Union and put an end to its common currency.

Press TV has interviewed Rodney Shakespeare, professor of Binary Economics, from London

Following is a transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Ok, Rodney Shakespeare, let me ask you what Germany wants to do, ask German taxpayers to bailout the Euro, only if the euro countries agree to iron clad fiscal rules, which removes, euro countries budgetary powers and it commits tens of millions of people to years of austerity. Isn’t that kind of the game plan that Germany has ?

Rodney Shakespeare: the Europeans are in a hole and digging deeper, alternatively you can say, they have got their heads in the sand and their bottoms up in the air. Either way, they have now completely and utterly sold out, to Goldman Sachs and the bankers; and the result is going to be, that the people of Europe are going to lose their jobs, lower standard of living, lower pensions, more trouble, or go on for decades.

So I am afraid, that is the basic situation, and as regards to the UK, we are already ruled by the bankers who are trying to be in charge using the financial system to control everybody else. The situation is quite disgraceful, we have to throw off this global elite, and go to a new paradigm of thinking.

But at this moment there is not the slightest sign of any new thinking or addressing the underline problem, which as Max has indicated, is in fact an endless rise of unrepayable debt.

Press TV: Rodney Shakespeare, roughly, just a couple of hours back, interesting piece of news coming from an orthodox source, and that is from a US military officer, General Martin Dempsey, who has said, extraordinary concern about the viability of the Euro because of the potential for civil unrest and the breakup of the European Union.

Rodney Shakespeare: Yes , at the moment the Americans have tended to be blaming the Europeans, but of course, the Americans are just as much part of this collapsing fraudulent system as the Europeans, but he is quite right.

I think that Europe is going to collapse, and when, for example, the bonds etc are defaulted, that is going to hit the derivatives, commitments of the American banks and is going to be big, big trouble. If you look at it, if only a tiny percentage of the derivatives go wrong, three or four percents of the total might be equivalent to nearly the same as the world’s GDP.

Press TV: but how about the fact that is the American general, I am sorry to jump in, why would American General, come up with a warning like that, isn’t that signifying something there?

Rodney Shakespeare: It is signifying something, not only awareness of the overall connections, but of course what is also happening, is America in particular, incited by the Zionist entity, is going for war as a means of hiding the whole thing up.

The Americans want to blame Europe, and then when the blame comes back to them, then they’ll be going to war, that is the underlying reason, why they are heating up the tension at this moment and of course it can easily get completely out of hand.

Press TV: So, Rodney Shakespeare, is the United States and the UK, then on one side and Europe on another side? Is this breakup of Europe, from, in this case, within Europe from the UK and then with the United States?

Rodney Shakespeare: well , I think there is going to be divisions with the breakup in Europe, but it is the whole system, which is going down; a system which relies on, endlessly creating money, compound interest, and putting it for anything, except the real economy.

And since they are not going to address that, it really does not matter which way it goes, The thing is going down, and war is going to be the way they are going to hide it.

The one thing they are not going to do is to challenge the bankers, the way they should do, is in fact, to control the bankers, and then get the national banks to issue interest free loans for public capital projects, for micro credit, for environmental capital projects, for spreading the ownership in the big and medium cooperation’s, and they can use that same mechanism to get with their national debt.

But they are not going to do that, because, they are controlled by the mindset of interest and of sucking the wealth up to that one percent and they are not going to change that. Until they do, Europe has had it and ordinary people have had it, in the USA, where it is getting worse and worse, and in Europe.

Press TV:Rodney Shakespeare, I am going back to UK, and the fallout geopolitically speaking for the decision that the prime minister David Cameron has taken, I mean, they do, after all have represented, at least a portion of the contribution based on trade or what have you, so now, with this to have occurred, how are other countries supposed to react, economically speaking, in terms of financially at least, with the UK – isn’t that going to drive the UK into a deeper recession?

Rodney Shakespeare: There is a deepening recession going on right across Europe and our exports are going to be held back, and yes we are part of the whole downward turn. Just one quick point on Europe, they are now going to have decisions by completely unelected bureaucracy, with that Belgian twit Ron Frey running it all.

There is going to be huge political tensions between the people who do not want this centralization and people who are suffering the economic consequences. So I see high stress and breakup of some sort coming for Europe.

Jeff Hook “I just watched the Ron Paul interview (11/20) and I must say, your show couldn’t have been more rude or unprofessional. Bob Schieffer is obviously biased. His twisting of Ron’s policies and statements are the norm from the left, not a big deal. But when Ron went to explain what he said or what his policy is, Bob didn’t accept his explanation and would end the question by putting words in Ron’s mouth before immediately moving on. Instead of giving Ron a final statement, Bob just thanked him and cut him off to move on to something else.”

The New Jersey police officer responsible for capturing five Israelis who filmed and celebrated while the World Trade Center towers burned has broken his silence, agreeing to a Sept. 16 exclusive interview with AMERICAN FREE PRESS.

As AFP readers are no doubt aware, these are the same Israelis who were working under the direction of Urban Moving Systems, a Mossad front company at the center of Israeli involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks.

Sgt. Scott DeCarlo has never spoken to the media about the details of that day except for two 30-second cameo appearances in Internet videos from undetermined sources. In fact, DeCarlo confirmed that this is the first, and last, interview he will ever grant in regard to this subject.

DeCarlo revealed to AFP hidden details about the events of 9-11 that mainstream media venues should have uncovered 10 years ago, if not for their near-total blackout of meaningful coverage where Israel is concerned.

Although not scheduled to work that day, DeCarlo reported anyway and “was posted on the highway” to prevent traffic from entering New York City.

“There was a BOLO, which is a ‘Be On the Look Out’ for a particular van, perhaps loaded with explosives,” explained DeCarlo, “that may have been on its way to destroy the George Washington Bridge.”

DeCarlo explained: “It [the suspicious van] happened to come our way, and I grabbed my sergeant [DeCarlo himself was a patrolman at that time] and said: ‘Hey, man, that’s our van.’ It wasn’t the exact license plate given reported—it was off by one numeral—but I said: ‘That’s gotta be it; it’s just too close.’”

He continued: “The van was coming off the [N.J.] Turnpike trying to get on Route 3. Traffic was rolling at two miles an hour, so we got in front of the van on foot, weapons drawn, and stopped it.”

All five of the Israeli spies refused to exit their vehicle, so DeCarlo was forced to get physical.

“We asked them to get out of the van, but they didn’t listen,” he said. “So, we . . . put them in handcuffs and did it as quickly as possible.”

AFP asked DeCarlo why he thought the Israelis refused to follow his orders. DeCarlo was unsure, but asked this writer, “You ever have a gun pointed at your head?”

DeCarlo then described what happened after the spies were dragged from their van. “When we removed them, one of the guys that was rather chatty said: ‘We’re not your enemy, we’re your friend. Our enemies are your enemies,’” DeCarlo said. “At that point they said they were from Israel. They kept saying, ‘Hey, we’re on your side.’”

“We brought them over to the New Jersey State Police holding cells in the Meadowlands Stadium, and that’s the last I saw of them,” he said. Shortly after that, the FBI reportedly took over. The five Israelis were held for 10 weeks, but were eventually deported to Israel on charges of immigration violations. In November 2001, they appeared on an Israeli TV talk show discussing how they were in the U.S. “to document the event.”

Sgt. DeCarlo asked AFP to request interested parties not to contact him.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, tipped to be the presidential candidate for the Socialist Party, has been undermined by a sexual assault case.

The incumbent Nicholas Sarkozy’s popularity has taken a knock in the last year as well.

Marine Le Pen, leader of the Nation Front Party, is hoping to use the failures of both men to her advantage.

In the interview, Marine Le Pen said that “Nicolas Sarkozy never follows up with actions. His mouth is big, but his hand is weak. Remember a few months ago when I raised the issue of street prayers, which are forbidden in a range of countries where Islam is the state religion? Well, there are still prayers in the streets of France, even more than there were before. So, Sarkozy is a weak man. He is incapable of enforcing even the slightest law in this country.”

The US has been critical of Germany for not supporting NATO in the mission in Libya. SPIEGEL spoke to German Defense Minister Thomas de Maizière about Berlin’s skepticism of getting involved in Libya and Syria, and about the future of the NATO alliance.

SPIEGEL: Minister de Maizière, during his recent speech on the future of North Atlantic Treaty Organization, outgoing US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that there are two categories of NATO partners: those who fight and those who dig wells. Which category is Germany in?

Thomas De Maizière: In Afghanistan, we’re demonstrating that the Bundeswehr (eds. note: the German military) is a fighting army whenever it has to be.

SPIEGEL: When it comes to NATO’s mission in Libya, Gates recently said that Germany, among others, wasn’t doing enough. What is your response?

De Maizière: Our decision to not participate in the military part of the Libya mission was based on carefully considered reasons. It remains correct. But that doesn’t put us in the category of mere well-diggers, as you put it.

SPIEGEL: Have you no bad conscience at all, given that your NATO partners in Libya are running out of steam and munitions?

De Maizière: The Americans did ask us for military assistance again at the most recent NATO meeting. We turned them down. But we have made things easier for the alliance by allowing German AWACS planes to participate in the mission in Afghanistan. And there’s one thing I’d like to add: When you start something, you of course always have to know how long you can keep it up.

SPIEGEL: On the eve of the first NATO airstrikes, you said on German public broadcaster ZDF: “Could the fact that we are suddenly intervening now have something to do with oil? We can’t get rid of all the dictators in the world with an international military mission.” Would you still say the same thing?

De Maizière: Yes. The “responsibility to protect” a country’s civilian population if its government violates human rights is firmly anchored in international law. But does that mean we are allowed to intervene? Or does that mean we’re actually required to? I believe that each military operation must be analyzed to determine whether its goals can be achieved with appropriate means and within an appropriate time frame as well as how one gets out at the end. Every one.

SPIEGEL: You are dodging the question. You have insinuated that Germany’s NATO allies are only intervening in Libya because of oil.

De Maizière: No, I wasn’t insinuating that at all. I strictly formulated that as a hypothetical.

SPIEGEL: But your formulation still implies it.

De Maizière: During the interview, I was pointing out that there have to be criteria for each and every decision about humanitarian intervention — even if that presents me with a number of dilemmas. If I say yes once, then I’ll have to justify why I say no the next time. Refraining from action is also a decision. One must make a decision, but one can’t expect that — no matter what the decision is — one can always emerge from this kind of matter with clean hands. I have to live with that.

SPIEGEL: You have said that you would like to “constructively examine” whether German soldiers can be deployed as part of a peacekeeping force once the war is over. Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle would like to look into this as well, but not “constructively.” How much of a difference is there between you two?

De Maizière: There’s no difference. Incidentally, I’m the type of person who always examines things constructively.

SPIEGEL: Westerwelle has also insisted that Germany will maintain its position of non-participation in the military mission in Libya. He speaks of providing “aid for a political fresh start as well as economic and social reconstruction.”

De Maizière: I agree with that statement completely. Having international peacekeepers is a hypothetical matter that will only become necessary if Libya collapses and conflicting parties must be separated. In a country that is developing in a hopefully democratic direction, that would be neither necessary nor desirable.

SPIEGEL: So both you and Westerwelle oppose getting involved militarily even after Gadhafi is overthrown?

De Maizière: No. That is not our position. I hope that things don’t come to that kind of military mission. Hopefully Libya will remain united and develop in a democratic direction.

SPIEGEL: You’ve been at the helm of Germany’s Defense Ministry for three months. During that time, you’ve had to deliver condolences to the families of four German soldiers killed in Afghanistan. What are your thoughts and feelings in such a situation?

De Maizière: It is difficult, though nothing compared to the pain that the relatives feel themselves. It makes it clear just how directly I, at the top of the chain of command, bear personal responsibility for my soldiers. Furthermore, it has once again become clear to me how difficult it is to accept when parents must bury their children rather than the other way around.

SPIEGEL: Did these young people die in vain?

De Maizière: At first glance, their deaths are senseless. There is no political, military or moral sense to having someone who is trying to bring safety and development to a country be blown up by a small minority. At the same time, though, you can’t send soldiers on dangerous missions and then call these missions off just because there are casualties. We have to accept and affirm the fact that killing and dying are part of it.

SPIEGEL: It’s been almost a decade since the Bundestag, Germany’s parliament, approved the country’s involvement in Afghanistan. In retrospect, would you say it was the right decision?

De Maizière: Yes, the decision was correct. But the justification aimed too high. We not only said that we wanted no more terror to be exported from Afghanistan; we also promised a democratic Afghanistan, a place of stability and prosperity. We’re still paying for these high expectations today.

SPIEGEL: A more modest goal may have never won approval.

De Maizière: That may be so. But if there is any lesson to be learned from Afghanistan, it would be this: You shouldn’t promise the moon to guarantee a majority. Sooner or later, it will comes back to haunt you. Perhaps we should listen to military experts more when considering new missions. They tend to be more reserved in their recommendations, at least compared to many civilians. They know best what it means.

SPIEGEL: Apropos frankness, wouldn’t it be more straightforward to tell people that there is going to be another eruption of chaos if NATO makes a swift withdrawal? And that we either have to live with that idea or stay in Afghanistan for decades to come?

The founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange in an exclusive interview to RT (formerly known as Russia Today) called Facebook the greatest espionage tool in history. According to Assange, Facebook automatically collects confidential data of the registered site users, and later this information is transferred to the U.S. intelligence.

The founder of the WikiLeaks said in a television interview that Facebook is the greatest spy vehicle ever created by human beings. He added that we were dealing with a very detailed database about people, their habits, their social ties, addresses, places of residence, relatives, and all these data is located in the United States and available to U.S. intelligence.

Answering the question about the role of social networks in shaping the recent revolutions in the Middle East, the infamous online journalist said that Facebook in particular was the most disgusting of all espionage tools ever invented. He said that the users should be aware that adding a contact on Facebook they are working for American intelligence, updating its database. Other intelligence can either hack Facebook, or get this information from the Americans in exchange for some services.

He stated that Facebook, Google and Yahoo, all large American companies, have built-in interfaces for the use by the American intelligence. Does this mean that Facebook is in the hands of the American intelligence? No, it is different. It means that the U.S. intelligence agencies have legal and political means to pressure them.

Assange is currently expecting the review of his complaint regarding the London court decision on his extradition to Sweden, whose authorities accuse the 39-year old Australian of sexual crimes. Assange’s lawyers tend to believe that Sweden is seeking the expulsion in order to give the truth-seeker to the USA. Meanwhile, the most famous debunker of our days, who, in fact, did not debunk anything, is restating elementary truths.

Recently, Facebook has puzzled some of its users by privacy and security settings, and company founder Mark Zuckerberg strongly opposed the anonymity on the Internet. His statement provoked resistance from the founder of website 4chan Christopher “moot” Poole, who considers that preserving the incognito allows people to reveal themselves in all their stark, unfiltered, brutally primitive beauty. The authority, or if you will, popularity of Assange as a hacker will not change much in the situation with social networks. The catchers of people’s souls have made the right bet relying on common stupidity.

Over the last five years almost a billion people worldwide were in the full sense caught in the net, and their number increases exponentially. The leadership of major media outlets requires their employees to register on such social networking sites as Facebook or its Russian analogue VKontakte.

“The problem of the leakage of data from social networks, Internet services and mobile devices is becoming ever more urgent. There are regular reports that phones and Android platforms iOS preserve photographs, data on the movement of the device and personal data and send them to the network, “Globalist” reports. On May 1st “Yandex” has acknowledged that it provided the FSB with the data of people using the services of Yandex. We should not forget that social networks can become a meeting place for terrorists and dangerous sociopaths, which has been a topic for a discussion since the beginning of the social networks.

The only argument of those who lost faith in conspiracy theories is the following argument: it is a hard task to handle this amount of information. However, besides the politics social networks have a negative social and public component.

“Psychologists believe that the most popular social networks are based on the principle of the Maslow pyramid. According to this theory, the highest level of needs of the individual is simply self-expression. A network user can not only provide information about themselves, but also display their successes, create audio and video libraries, own albums. Yet, few people think about the information that we so thoughtlessly put on our pages. This information becomes a desirable target for the intelligence services and, as the experience of the American social networks indicates, a great way for creditors to determine our true income. There was recorded a range of cases when mentally unbalanced individuals traced and blackmailed users,” “Globalist” reports.

We are no longer able to live without social networking and we will not stop eating fish caught in Japan. Some will continue yelling that it is all lies (like the poisonous “Fukushima” fish), others will continue unsuccessful attempts to resist progress. It would be interesting to find out how the Russian president and other senior officials who opened accounts on Facebook and Twitter are protected from such scrutiny of foreign secret services. It is quite clear why such a question was not posed to Julian Assange. After all, he has repeatedly admitted that his main revelations are yet to come, explaining that the information that has already been revealed is “just the tip of the iceberg.”

Lara Logan has spoken out for the first time since her terrifying sexual assault in Egypt, describing how attackers ‘raped her with their hands’.

The 39-year-old CBS foreign correspondent said she was convinced she was going to die when the frenzied mob tore her away from her film crew and bodyguard in Cairo’s Tahrir Square.

A group of at least 200 men beat her, pinched her and tore at her clothes in a 40-minute attack that only ended when a group of women came to her aid.

She told the New York Times: ‘For an extended period of time, they raped me with their hands…What really struck me was how merciless they were.

‘They really enjoyed my pain and suffering. It incited them to more violence.’

She revealed the terrifying details in an interview with the newspaper today, and is expected to speak about her attack at greater length in an appearance on 60 Minutes on Sunday.

Ms Logan, who returned to work this month, has not previously spoken about the assault, which reverberated around the world and highlighted the dangers women face while reporting.

But she said these will be her first and last interviews about the vicious assault. She said: ‘I don’t want this to define me.’

She was attacked on February 11, on her first day back in the city – and the day Hosni Mubarak’s government finally fell.

She had been forced to leave a week before after she was detained and interrogated by Egyptian forces.

Ms Logan and her film crew made their way to Tahrir Square, where a jubilant crowd begged her for autographs.

But suddenly, as she was preparing a report for 60 Minutes, the mood turned violent.

The camera battery went down, forcing the crew to stop.

As they worked to replace it her Egyptian cameraman heard one of the men in the crowd say he wanted to pull her pants down in Arabic.

She told CBS: ‘Suddenly, Bahar [the Egyptian cameraman] looks at me and says, “we’ve got to get out of here”.

‘I thought, not only am I going to die here, but it’s going to be just a torturous death that’s going to go on forever and ever and ever.’

She told the Times: ‘That was literally the moment the mob set on me.’

Jeff Fager, the chairman of CBS News, told the Times her producer, Max McClellan, and her two drivers were ‘helpless because the mob was just so powerful’.

He said her bodyguard managed to hold on to her for a while, but the mob proved too strong and carried her away.

Mr Fager said: ‘For Max, to see the bodyguard come out of the pile without her, that was one of the worst parts.’

Ms Logan described how her hand was sore for days afterwards, and she only later realised it was because she had been holding on so tightly to her bodyguard’s hand.

She told the Times: ‘My clothes were torn to pieces.’

The attack lasted 40 minutes. She was only rescued when a group of local women brought 20 Egyptian soldiers to her aid.

Mr Fager said he hoped Sunday’s interview would help raise awareness of the sexual violence women journalists face when reporting from conflict zones.

He said: ‘There’s a code of silence about it that I think it is in Lara’s interest and in our interest to break.’

CBS immediately flew her back to the U.S. The channel posted guards outside her Washington home, where she hid herself away to recuperate along with her husband Joseph Burkett and their two young children.

Mr Fager said: ‘She was quite traumatised, as you can imagine, for a period of time.’

Four days after the attack, he and Ms Logan drafted a statement released by CBS, until now the only official comment.

It said she had ‘suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers’.

Ms Logan said she made the decision to speak out soon after the assault, on behalf of ‘millions of voiceless women who are subjected to attacks like this and worse’.

She said the statement ‘didn’t leave me to carry the burden alone, like my dirty little secret, something that I had to be ashamed of’.

While physical violence against men is often discussed by the media, sexual threats against female journalists are rarely mentioned.

Ms Logan said, with sexual violence ‘you only have your word. The physical wounds heal. You don’t carry around the evidence the way you would if you had lost your leg or your arm in Afghanistan.’

Just two months after the attack, Ms Logan has already vowed to return to Afghanistan and other conflict zones, but said she has decided she will not return to Middle Eastern countries while widespread protests are ongoing.

She told the Times: ‘The very nature of what we do – communicating information – is what’s undoing these regimes. It makes us the enemy, whether we like it or not.’

More than a dozen foreign journalists have been kidnapped in Libya since the uprising began there.

Times journalist Lynsey Addario said she was groped and harassed by her Libyan captors, a story which Ms Logan said was a ‘setback’ to her own recovery.

Donald Trump gets tough on China, Iran, and Iraq. He would take all Iraq’s oil so the US would get something in return for spending more than $1 trillion in the war and for having thousands of US soldiers killed in the war. He said he would share the oil with other NATO members who participated in the war against the Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Like most candidates, Mr. Trump would also stop Iran from meddling in Iraq and from ever building a nuclear weapon. Donald also criticized China and the way it has been acting lately, saying that he would impose a 25% tax on all Chinese products so that US companies which import from China or manufacture their products aboard (in China) get discouraged from further doing business with China.

He also talked about abortions, gay marriage, Obama’s birth certificate and religion controversy and acknowledged a Muslim problem in the world. Shortly put, he’s against abortions but wouldn’t outlaw them, he’s against gay marriages and he would like to stop them, he wants to see Obama’s birth certificate and said that there is a Muslim problem in the world, furthermore adding that “you don’t see the Swedes taking down the World Trade Center”. He has also talked about illegal immigration and the Obamacare. He said he supports the current healthcare system and he would like to stop illegal immigration from Mexico by militarizing the border with US soldiers, he would even go as far as to deport the current bad illegal immigrants who brought drugs in the US or committed other crimes but would let those good working illegal immigrants stay, if elected president in 2012.

He says that America needs a strong President, and that he’s that person. He sounds like a nationalist in some ways; a man who puts his country before the other countries of the world, and why not? Why should America bow down to other countries in the world? Perhaps to gain their favor? If that was possible, then all countries in the world would favor America now with all of the bowing down that President Obama’s been doing.

He has rapidly gained sympathy, and he is wanted to run for the republican nomination by noticeable percentage of Americans. He could add greatly to the debate. He will keep Romney on his toes and make the other candidates answer questions that they would not have to answer otherwise.

Donald Trump is somewhat similar to Ron Paul, which one would you choose?

Hi, Mr. Greenspon. We’ve decided to interview you at your request. Please, introduce yourself to our readers first.
My name is Jon Greenspon, from Bozeman, Montana. I was born in Los Angeles, California in 1964. I am married, and have one daughter.

Are you a member of one of the main political parties?
I am a member of the Republican Party. Within the Republican Party, there are several factions, and I am classified as what would be considered a Jeffersonian/Reagan Republican. I am both fiscally and socially conservative.

So what are you aspiring to become? US president?
I am a candidate for United States President. I will be in the 2012 election from start to finish.

When and why have you chosen politics?
I’m one of the rare individuals out there that is looking out for the people, not the special interest groups, lobbying firms or party. I have been interested in politics ever since I first was eligible to vote, and during my service as a US Marine. Here in America, our two main political parties, in 2008, established their “platforms” for the coming years. My “platform” is simple enough – it was written in 1787, and starts with WE THE PEOPLE. My present situation, as a candidate for the Presidency, comes from watching as our political system has taken a dramatic turn, from supporting the rights of our citizens – as handed down in the Declaration of Independence – to tragic level of globalism and congressional malfeasance and creeping socialism, that our American veterans fought and bled to protect us from.

Why should people vote for you? What makes you any different from other candidates?
First and foremost, I am not a Politician. I’m a veteran, a father, and a concerned citizen. I’m not going to pretend to have all the answers, but I’m willing to listen to options and opinions from all citizens. I look at the Presidency as the highest level of service to the American people, and by right, should be the least partisan of political offices. I have not illusion that the President is the most powerful person in the United States, it the average voter that is the most powerful political person in this country.
When it comes to dealing with Congress, there are two simple rules:
1. Is it within Congress’ authority, in accordance with a strict and literal interpretation of the Constitution?
2. Is it in the best interest of the people, as opposed to the best interest of the state? Similarly, I don’t see any logic in playing a “blame game” for everything that is wrong in the US on the prior Administration, because once the oath of office is taken, the mantle becomes the crown of thorns for the current Administration. And I bow to no one.

Do you think Obama was the best choice for America?
Honestly, No. Barack Obama’s election was the culmination of a well-timed “march toward socialism” by the Democratic Party leadership, political corruption and intimidation via organizations such as the Black Panthers, The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), and various American Labor organizations, as well as ineptness and infighting within other political organizations here in the United States. Needless to say, the best interests of the people of our country weren’t served, only the political aspirations of several hundred self-serving individuals.

Do you think Ron Paul could have been a better choice for your country?
I think Dr. Paul is an excellent representative for the American people. While I agree with a large portion of his political views, he is a polarizing figure with some parts of his beliefs.

What’s your opinion about massive immigration from non-European nations to America? Would you do something to stop that? And if so, what?
I am a firm believer in the value of immigration to America, both in terms of population and the accomplishments available from new citizens. I don’t intend to stop the arrival of those who would be willing to join this great experiment in freedom, although it must be through legal means. It is, however, well within the United States interests to limit the level of immigration on a yearly basis, in particular to those who are using visas to come into our country in deference to qualified Americans for employment.

Since we’re an European newspaper, we can’t help it to ask you, do you love Europe?
Europe is beautiful. I happen to have three places I enjoy visiting on a semi-regular basis. First is Dunoon, Scotland – a beautiful retreat location in Western Scotland. Secondly, our family enjoys the area around North Tipperary County in Ireland. Lastly, would have to be the Karlsruhe region of Germany.
This is not to say there other areas of Europe we love, these are simply favorite physical areas. Europe has provided the world with culture, intellect and diverse peoples.

What would you do to stop the current world financial crisis which stated from the US?
I think one of the first things the United States needs to do, from a local standpoint, is put itself on a firmer financial footing. This includes halting some of our reckless spending, and balancing our budget. Part of this “Balancing Act” needs to include paying off debt that has spiraled outward to other countries.

What’s your educational and economical program in case you get elected?
On the Education front, schools need to get back to the basics. For more than twenty-five years the American system of education has been systemically depriving the children of the United States of a quality education, in exchange for “sensitivity training”, video gaming and “global interests”. American students need to reestablish themselves with an education that focuses reading, writing, arithmetic and a real comprehension of our Constitution. As hard as it might sound, America’s education system needs to “reboot”. We need to stop teaching that texting qualifies as “reading and writing”, calculators and “No Child Left Behind” provides for an understanding of math, that Spongebob and Bart Simpson hardly teach any semblance of values, and that aspiring to be like Eminem, Lindsay Lohan, or the “Next American Idol” is not something our children should be reducing themselves to.
With regards to America’s economic issues, one of our biggest problems is the Federal Government’s insistence on intruding on the professional and personal finances, through progressively intrusive taxes and regulation. Americans need a reduction in the language of our tax structure, a return to the restriction of the United States Constitution’s Article 1, Section 8 limitations on the Government’s ability to tax and a removal of inappropriate “revenue enhancements” such as the estate tax. These are America’s own “INTOLERABLE ACTS”, and need to be resolved immediately and permanently put out to pasture. We understand, as citizens, that lower taxes invigorate our economy while excessive tax and debt depress the economy – it’s a shame that the “brain trust” milling about in the Capitol Building are immune to common sense solutions to real problems.

What do you think of “Free Speech” and how much are you willing to fight to protect it?
In America, we take free speech for granted. We have Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Howard Stern as proof of that. I think that it is entirely within reason to say that “free speech” can be given realistic limits, such as restricting profanity during family television time. Outside of that, America has an inherent capacity for reducing the amount of “less than relevant” information in some avenues of media. One case in point is the bankruptcy of the Air America radio network, due to a lack of listenership and poor management, a pattern that is currently repeating itself with MSNBC – which is presently in the midst of a critical mass implosion, due to the “talents” of Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.

How would you help people who are having hard times finding jobs?
Putting Americans back to work requires three very important measures to be accomplished. First, the United States needs to take proactive measures in “American First “ hiring practices, as opposed to giving out visas to every country for American jobs. Second, we need to start enforcing our immigration policies, which will bring a number of jobs back to Americans. And lastly, we need to reform our tax policies and welfare programs to encourage employment instead of government subsidized living..

Is Arizona’s new anti-Illegal immigration law to your liking?
Unlike our “esteemed” Attorney General, I have actually read through Arizona Senate Bill 1070. Arizona’s Immigration Enforcement Act is an extension of Title 8 of the United States Code, and not some form of illegal alien discrimination. The function of Arizona SB1070 is an enabling tool for State law enforcement to cooperate with the Federal Government in the enforcement of United States Federal codes, that the Federal Government is FAILING in their duties to perform.
Personally, while I agree with the legislation, I don’t think it is fair for the State of Arizona to have to resort to this measure. It should be realized that the United States Supreme Court, in the 1870’s, ruled that it is solely the Federal Government’s duty, and not the within the State’s jurisdiction, to establish Rules of Naturalization and Immigration. Also, in the early 2000’s, the same court ruled that the Federal Government CANNOT force the States to enforce Federal laws at the State’s expense. However, there is nothing in Federal Law that prevents a State from voluntarily deciding to enforce Federal Legislation that the US Government is negligent in enforcing itself.

What’s your opinion concerning the Gulf of Mexico oil spill?
While it’s easy to assign blame to British Petroleum over the Gulf spill, it’s completely off-base for the United States Government not to claim some of the blame itself. The US Government, through our regulatory agencies are responsible for the monitoring and compliance of off-shore oil facilities, and we have neglected our duties – partly in the case of political sidestepping (through back room dealings and monetary gifts), and through intentional means such as manipulation of the agencies involved. All of this falls directly on the Oval Office, as the President is the Direct Head of all Executive Branch agencies.
Realistically, the moment of the oil spill should have immediately invoked a temporary dismissal of the “Jones Act of 1921”. This would allow instant access to assistance from foreign firms, such as those from the Netherlands who have experience in oil spill operations. Similarly, by refusing to dismiss the “Jones Act”, in favor of political favors to the American Labor Unions, has created more of an environmental catastrophe then should have been permitted.

Alright, thank you for this interview Mr. Greenspon it was a pleasure.

NOTE: EU Times does not necessarily agree with all the thoughts expressed in this interview.

UPDATE 11.53am: KYLE Sandilands has been suspended by his radio station for making a concentration camp quip about Magda Szubanski.

The shock jock said on air yesterday that Szubanski, who has publicly battled to shed weight, would lose more “in a concentration camp”.

Szubanski, whose father was a Polish freedom fighter who hunted down Nazis, said Sandilands’ remarks were “abhorrent”.

In a statement released this morning, Sydney station 2Day FM said the comments were “unacceptable” and apologised for any offence caused.

“2Day FM has suspended Kyle Sandilands following comments he made during The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday 8 September, 2009,” the statement read.

“The suspension will be in effect pending further discussions involving Kyle Sandilands and station management.

“2Day FM believes the comments made by Kyle were unacceptable and sincerely apologises and regrets any offence they caused.”

This morning, furious soul singer Renee Geyer slammed Kyle Sandilands while recalling her own family’s Holocaust past.

Geyer, who lost her grandparents to German gas chambers, broke down in tears today and said there was no excuse for belittling the horrors of the Nazi regime.

“My mother was in Auschwitz, her parents were gassed there and she was about 15 years old and from Auschwitz they moved her to Mauthausen,” she told 3AW.

“She was in concentration camps for about two years, she lost her family and yes everybody was very skinny, they were like skeletons.”

Premier John Brumby also slammed Sandilands, labeling his comments “completely inappropriate and completely insensitive”.

He said to make those comments, even unknowingly, about someone whose family migrated to Australia from Poland was wrong.

“To make those comments in relation to someone whose family had to escape from tyranny, escape from the holocaust, escape from prison camps, it’s just a terrible thing to say, completely insensitive,” he said.

“Having said that he’s done the right thing to apologise.”

Sandilands has dismissed the jibe as “just one of those things”.

Today he went on air saying he did not mean “to offend her (Szubanski) or anyone else with those comments”.

He then said he was trying to contact the actress and it was “just one of those things” – an echo of comments last month from Jackie O, who dismissed the pair’s earlier lie detector controversy as “just one one of those moments when live radio happens”.

Sandilands’ jibe – which follows his radio debacle involving a 14-year-old rape victim – angered Jewish leaders, who called last night for his sacking.

“Why would you want to have anything to do with somebody like this?” said Australian/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council spokesman Jeremy Jones.

“To joke about the experience of people who are being starved to death or murdered . . . is quite horrendous.

“There are people who confuse freedom of speech with gratuitous, insulting, offensive behaviour. They’re two quite different things.”

Szubanski, whose father was a Polish freedom fighter who hunted down Nazis, said Sandilands’ remarks were “abhorrent”.

“I couldn’t give two hoots about what Kyle says about me, but to trivialise what happened to people in concentration camps is abhorrent,” said the TV star, who recently lost 25kg in her battle with obesity.

Sandilands recently returned to the airwaves in Sydney after the rape victim scandal. A weeknight package of highlights was dumped from Fox FM in Melbourne.

He faces the wrath of listeners a second time after laying into Szubanski over her role as the public face of weight-loss firm Jenny Craig.

Sandilands joked that her work wasn’t finished.

“She could get another season out of them, easy . . . she’s not skinny,” he said on 2Day FM.

Co-host Jackie O suggested Szubanski might not be able to lose any more weight due to her build.

“That’s what all fat people say,” Sandilands replied.

“You put her in a concentration camp and you watch the weight fall, like, she could be skinny.”

Szubanski has spoken publicly about the persecution of Jews in World War II.

Her father was a resistance fighter who was captured by the Germans before escaping.

Szubanski has told how her grandparents hid a Jewish woman and a young boy but had to stop helping them after neighbours threatened to report them.

Her father was a reluctant hero and refused any honours because of his guilt over killing people, she once said.

“He was part of a crack unit to protect the Polish HQ and he assassinated various people who were collaborators, the ones who persecuted people who helped the Jews,” she said.

Szubanski once recalled that a Polish woman who came to her father’s funeral said: “You realise that only the bravest of the brave were able to do what your father did.”

Radio network boss Peter Harvie recently admitted he rarely listened to Sandilands.

The former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton says that Washington should support Tel Aviv if it decides to attack Iran, since it will be ‘blamed for it anyway’.

The worst outcome of an Israeli attack on Iran would be its failure to halt Tehran’s nuclear program, Bolton said in an interview with Russia Today on Thursday.

“I personally believe the US should assist Israel, I think if Israel does attack, the United States is going to be blamed for it anyway,” he said.

Bolton, however, described the Obama administration’s relationship with Israel as “probably as bad as any since the Suez Canal crisis of 1956,” saying that Washington’s pressure on Tel Aviv has “complicated” the decision to “use military force”.

Earlier this week in an interview with Fox News, when Bolton was asked if Israel is likely to take unilateral steps against Iran, he said, “I don’t think Israel has really made a decision. But I think if you look at the history, Israel has not been afraid to take preemptive military action when it has seen an existential threat to … Israel.”

“It destroyed the Osirak reactor outside Baghdad in 1981. It destroyed a North Korean reactor in Syria in September 2007,” he added.

Israel, which is the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, has repeatedly voiced its determination to halt Iran’s nuclear program, even through military options.

Tel Aviv and its Western allies accuse Iran, a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), of pursuing a military nuclear program through its enrichment activities.

Tehran, however, denies the charges saying its nuclear program only serves civilian purposes and aims at generating electricity to meet the country’s growing demand.

German Defense Minister Jung has insisted that Germany is not fighting a war in Afghanistan, rejecting calls for such an admission after three German soldiers died in the country this week.

The parliamentary commissioner for the armed forces, Reinhold Robbe, on Wednesday called on the German government to recognize it was fighting a war in Afghanistan.

“It is still being publicly denied that the German army is fighting a war in the HinduKush,” Robbe told German state broadcaster ARD on Wednesday. “We have to stop avoiding the facts. We have to call the situation what it is.”

The role of the German armed forces in Afghanistan has been the subject of tensions for two years, with the German government so far insisting their troops are not involved in war, but that they are there for peacekeeping and development purposes.

German soldier with an armored tank in AfghanistanBildunterschrift: Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: The latest attack has sparked a heated debate on the nature of Germany’s mission in Afghanistan

On Wednesday, defence ministry spokesman Thomas Raabe, reacted to suggestions that German soldiers were conducting a war with a caution.

“Before we are so keen to call the situation a war,” he said, “we should remember that we are not fighting an opponent but terrorists and criminals. If a war is declared in Afghanistan, we raise these groups into a legal framework that they do not deserve.”

The debate has been reignited following an attack on a patrol in Afghanistan’s northern Kundus region that left three German soldiers dead and a further four needing psychological treatment.

Increased Taliban attacks in northern Afghanistan

The men, between 21 and 23 years old, came under fire while on patrol. Their armored personnel carrier was forced into a water-filled ditch and turned on its roof. Three of the seven men in the carrier were unable to escape as rescue efforts were hampered by continuous Taliban fire.

Around 700 German troops are based in the Kundus region in the north of Afghanistan, a region previously considered relatively safe.

Taliban fighters have become increasingly active in a region around Kundus known as Char Dara, where Tuesday’s attack took place. In June alone there were 30 Taliban attacks on German soldiers, putting the soldiers under daily fire.

Robbe: soldiers’ jobs being ‘trivialized’

On Wednesday, Robbe said Germany continued to supress what he said was the fact that its soldiers were at war in Afghnanistan.

“Everybody who tries to avoid calling the war what it is, trivializes what the soldiers are going through there,” Robbe said. His comments came after a troop visit to Afghanistan.

“I cannot comment on what individual cabinet ministers are saying,” Robbe said, “but when soldiers tell me that they are not building wells but that they are in a war situation, then I take it from them.”

Robbe’s comments have been echoed by the head of the German military chaplaincy, Bishop Martin Dutzmann.

“The troops are facing an asymmetrical threat. The defence minsitry is correct to shy away from a war in the legal sense of the word,” Dutzmann said.

Germany has the third-largest contingent in the NATO-led force in Afghanistan, with about 3,380 troops.

Despite US pressure to contribute troops to the more restive southern provinces where members of NATO and US soldiers have been fighting the Taliban since the 2001 invasion that ousted the group from power, the German army has focused on the Regional Command North.

Jung: Soldiers will respond

Speaking on German radio on Wednesday morning, German Defense Minister Franz-Josef Jung said that soldiers would respond in kind if they were attacked but again stopped short of saying that German troops were fighting in the war on the Taliban.

“If we were to speak of war, then we would only be concentrating on the military aspect in the region, and that would be a mistake,” Jung said, adding that the only way to win a war was to win the trust of the population.

“We have three functions to fulfill,” Jung said, “to create security and to conciliate, protect and help. We are not occupiers, we are there to maintain security.”

Germany vows to stay the course

Against a growing concern over the effectiveness of the NATO presence in Afghanistan, Deputy Foreign Minister Gernot Erler told the Neuen Presse newspaper that pulling German troops out now would not send the right signal, and that decisions on troop engagements should not be decided on an ad hoc basis.

“The operation is correct. And we are in close dialogue with the Americans, to talk about how we can become even more effective,” Erler said.
