Lebanon’s security officials say a suspicious cargo containing huge amounts of US dollars, guns, special passports and credit cards have been seized upon arrival in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, from the US and Brazil.

The items, packed in a number of chests and delivered via airmail, were discovered at Beirut’s airport, the Lebanese security officials said.

The chests also contained a list of both well-known and ordinary Lebanese citizens including a figure related to Salafi extremist groups. The security officials have summoned a number of the individuals, whose names were on the list, arresting some of them.

Beirut has redoubled security surveillance across the country following remarks by some Lebanese factions as well as widespread rumors about the presence of al-Qaeda in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese defense minister earlier confirmed that members of the al-Qaeda terrorist group, fighting against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, have entered Syria through Lebanon.

Over the past few months, reports have circulated that caches of weapons have been smuggled to armed gangs in Syria through the Lebanese border.

Nineteen people have died on the third day of clashes between Brazilian government forces and striking police officers in the northeastern city of Salvador, Press TV reports.

Large shops and supermarkets were looted during the clashes and riots on Friday.

Meanwhile, the authorities have dispatched around 2,000 army soldiers and a group of elite federal police officers to contain the demonstrations in the country’s third largest city. In addition, protesters have been warned that they will receive a fine of up to $46,000 if caught demonstrating.

Another 13 people were killed during a demonstration on Thursday, while seven deaths were recorded on Wednesday.

The protesting police officers are holding demonstrations to demand salary increases and better working conditions.

Team El-Ahly football players get away from the field during a football match riot at a stadium in Port Said of Egypt on Feb. 1, 2012. The death toll from a football riot in Egypt's Port Said rose to 79, state TV reported on Wednesday night.

A riot in the Egyptian city of Port Said has left 79 dead and hundreds wounded after football fans stormed the pitch before engaging in running battles inside the stadium. The government has announced three days of mourning in the country.

The majority of the victims died from suffocation and head injuries, health ministry officials said. Doctors are calling on the local population to donate blood for the injured because the violence has drained hospital reserves.

Some of the more seriously injured were evacuated by transport helicopter from the northern city of Port Said to be treated in military hospitals. The army also dispatched troops to the city to prevent further violence from flaring.

Stadium mayhem

The deadly fight broke out on Wednesday night following a match between the local Al-Masry and the visiting Al-Ahly football teams, which have a long history of rivalry.

The home players scored a rare victory against one of Egypt’s strongest clubs, and the team’s fans rushed onto the pitch.

Some of the Al-Masry fans were said to be offended by an insulting sign held up by Al-Ahly supporters held during the game. In a bid to take revenge, they cornered rival fans, players and coaches.

“The players’ room has turned into a morgue,” said Ahmed Nagy, Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper and coach.

Speaking to the club’s television channel, player Mohamed Abo Treika described the violence as a war.

“This is not football. This is a war and people are dying in front of us. There is no movement and no security and no ambulances… This is a horrible situation and today can never be forgotten,” he said, as cited by Al Arabiya.

As the ensuing clash erupted, thousands of people tried to flee the violence. Dozens were crushed in the resulting stampede.

Although what triggered the violence remains unclear, Bel Trew, a freelance journalist talking live to RT from Cairo described eye witness reports of security forces who “stepped aside and actually opened the gates which allowed the two fan clubs to come onto the pitch and fight each other,” raising doubts over the security in place at the match.

The journalist spoke of exits to the stadium being blocked, preventing the Al-Ahly fans targeted by the violence from escaping, and causing a fatal crush. She also referred to eyewitness accounts of knife wounds, saying, “we believe the Port Said fans may have been carrying knives.”

While shedding light on the possible contributing factors that led to the Port Said violence Bel Trew signaled the “vacuum of security” that followed the January anniversary of the uprisings that overthrew former leader President Mubarak. She called the lack of a security presence “unprecedented” and linked it to the sharp escalation of crime in the Egypt during recent months.

Mourning and conspiracy

The Egyptian government has called an emergency parliamentary meeting to discuss the deadly football row at Port Said, amid claims that the ruling military council allowed the violence to happen – and even had a hand in causing it.

In response to the violence, Egyptian Prime Minister has accepted the resignation of the governor of Port Said and dissolved the board of the Egyptian Football Association. In addition to this, a full investigation will be launched into why the match went ahead given early signs that fan violence was likely.

FIFA, the international governing body of the game, has appealed to Egypt to release the exact details of the tragedy, while the EU has called for an independent probe to be carried out.

The Egyptian state football federation has postponed all national league matches indefinitely. A match which was underway when the violence in Port Said started was halted.

Thousands of Egyptians took to the streets overnight to honor the victims of the riot, as the country announced three days of mourning. In Suez the commemoration was marred when some radical Al-Ahly fans clashed with police. The attack on a security post was cut short with tear gas.

The tragedy, coming on the heels of the first anniversary of Egypt’s revolution, may have political reverberations. The Muslim Brotherhood’s Isam Al Aryan accused allies of ousted President Hosni Mubarak of orchestrating the bloody clashes.

At least eight people have been killed after troops from the self-declared republic of Somaliland launched an attack on local militiamen in the Buhodle district, Press TV reports.

The conflict erupted on Thursday as Somaliland forces launched an attack against bases of militia fighters, who have recently formed the new regional state of Khatumo, on the outskirts of Fool-Joogto village in the Buhodle district.

Fierce skirmishes broke out in the aftermath of the assault and heavy weapons — including artillery and machine guns — were used in the fighting. The gun battle forced local residents to flee their homes.

A total of eight people were killed and several others wounded during the clashes.

Somaliland, situated in northwestern Somalia, unilaterally declared independence from the rest of Horn Africa country in 1991.

Somalia has not had a functioning government since 1991, when warlords overthrew former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre.

The Somali government has struggled for years to restore security but efforts have not yet yielded results in the African nation.

A massive demonstration has shaken the Damascus suburb of Saqba, that has fallen under the control of the Free Syrian Army. RT’s Sara Firth traveled to the rebel-controlled area to explore how the fighters managed to overcome superior forces.

Clashes between Assad’s armed forces and the Free Syrian Army continue in many parts of the country including the capital. Some Damascus suburbs have seen nearly two dozen killed in the past two days, with buildings heavily shelled by regime loyalists. At least two people have been killed in the suburb of Saqba on Friday.

RT’s Sara Firth travelled to this area with other members of the press, while the Arab League observers, who initially led the group, decided to circle around the central part of Damascus.

The Free Syrian Army is now in control of the area, Firth says. They took journalists to the center of the suburb, where a massive anti-government demonstration was taking place. A funeral procession was going on at the same time.

Many of the Free Syrian Army members are in fact defectors who joined the opposition. While the government security forces rely mostly on heavy weaponry, the Free Syrian Army tends to use light weaponry and guerilla tactics, which has allowed them to capture Saqba and other areas, Sara Firth said after talking with some of the rebels.

In many parts of the county it is not clear who is actually in control. The situation is certainly very dangerous for civilians, Firth says.

Meanwhile, activists say that at least 30 people have been killed during the last day of mortar and machine-gun attacks in the city of Homs, besieged by the Syrian Army. The report, however, couldn’t be independently verified on the ground.

As the situation is deteriorating, the UN has stopped updating the death toll for the Syrian uprising. According to the UN human rights chief, Navi Pillay, it is too hard to get credible information about the situation on the ground.

“Some areas are totally closed such as parts of Homs, so we are unable to update that figure, but in my view 5,000 and more is a huge figure and should really shock the international community into taking action,” Pillay said as cited by AFP.

Since the Arab League monitors arrived in Syria, at least 400 people have been killed, according to UN estimates. Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia and its five partners in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) pulled out their 55 representatives from the observer mission, leaving only 110 members to continue their work in Syria.

The French Senate has passed a bill which makes it a crime to publicly deny that the Ottoman Empire’s 1915 killings of Armenians was a genocide. The move sparked fresh condemnation from Turkey, and could lead to further tension.

The upper house of parliament voted 127-86 in favor of the legislation on Monday, after it had been passed by the National Assembly, France’s lower house, last month. To become a law, the bill must be signed by President Nicolas Sarkozy, whose party proposed it.

Denying the Holocaust in France is already a crime punishable by a year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros; the same punishment would apply to the law the on Armenian Genocide.

The legislation was passed despite Turkey’s threats to retaliate with new sanctions on France – in addition to Ankara’s suspension of military, economic and political ties with France after the National Assembly approved the bill.

Following the vote, Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan branded the French bill “racist and discriminatory”. The Turkish foreign ministry warned that should it be passed into law, Ankara will hold on to sanctions it imposed against France in response to the legislation being put on the table.

“Those who thought that we reacted too harshly to the events, or that our response would be in words only, simply can’t comprehend the issue, Turkey or the Turkish nation,” a statement of the ministry said.

Turkey denies the massacre that claimed an estimated 1.5 million lives – and is the event for which the word “genocide” was created – was a genocide. France, on its part, insists that the new law would not harm Turkey.

“The law does not condemn Turkey in any way. It just sets sanctions for actions aimed at denying several cases of genocide. It is all about implementing European directives, the responsibilities of the French parliament,” French Interior Minister Claude Guéant insisted in an interview.

Executive director of the Armenian National Committee of America, Aram Hamparian, told RT that Monday’s vote in the French Senate was “the approval of genocide-prevention measures – and a vote for a world without genocide.”

It is also a step forward mounting pressure on Turkey to “finally come to terms with Armenian genocide both truthfully and justly,” he insists.

However, Hamparian doubts that Turkey is serious about its threats. “It’s a paper tiger – they make very vocal threats but ultimately don’t follow through,” he says. “They are going to do what they do in terms of trade and military relations based on their own interests.”

The charismatic Marine Le Pen has campaigned hard against free trade and the European Union, and has pushed the party’s traditional tough line on crime and immigration.

Marine Le Pen said she would balance France’s books if elected president by leaving the euro, slashing immigration, taxing imports and tapping the central bank for cheap loans instead of the debt markets.

The National Front leader, who ranks third in opinion polls, spelt out the financial planning behind her campaign promises just over three months before the first round of the presidential contest on April 22.

Exploiting discontent over globalization and the debt crisis in Europe, Le Pen has sought to lure voters by detailing her plan to knock the country’s bloated public deficit to zero by the end of 2017.

She said she would raise 200 billion euros ($260 billion) over five-years, in large part by restoring the autonomy of the French central bank and getting it to lend to the government at cheap rates in order to slash debt costs.

Her economic nationalism has seen her continue to closing the gap with incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy. The Ifop poll for Paris Match showed that in the first round, to be held April 22, Socialist candidate Francois Hollande would finish first with 27 percent, followed by Sarkozy with 23.5 percent and National Front candidate Le Pen on 21.5 percent, the poll published today showed today. Another poll however found that Marine Le Pen is more popular than Nicolas Sarkozy which ranks Le Pen as second instead of third.

Mr Hollande is staking out his position as a more reliable, more caring reincarnation of the late President François Mitterrand – without the eloquence or, so far, any clear program.

The buddy-buddy relationship between American and Israel could falter as it is revealed that Mossad intelligence officers posed as CIA agents in order to recruit and train Iranian terrorists, all unbeknown to US authorities.

American intelligence officials have come clean with details surrounding Israel’s attempt to infiltrate the network of the Iranian terrorist group Jundallah. According to internal memos just released, Washington was initially unaware that agents working for Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, were recruiting Iranian terrorists under the guise that they would be hired and trained by the CIA.

The memos that reveal the CIA’s then discovery of the program come from the last year of the George W Bush administration, and it is unsure if such campaigns still exist overseas today. What is known, however, is that Mossad — who is largely funded by the CIA and typically works hand-in-hand with their American counterpart — did not approach American officials for authorization in fronting as US agents in their attempt to infiltrate Jundallah.

“It’s amazing what the Israelis thought they could get away with,” an intelligence officer speaking on condition of anonymity tells Foreign Policy’s Mark Perry. “Their recruitment activities were nearly in the open. They apparently didn’t give a damn what we thought.”

The account has been confirmed to Foreign Policy by four retired intelligence officers who have either worked with the CIA or in conjunction with Mossad.

The attempt to enter the ranks of Jundallah is arguably warranted for the Israelis, but doing so by training terrorists under the supposed name of America — and then sending them off to kill in the name of America — could largely worsen what relationship, if any, exists between Tehran and Washington. Since its inception in 2003, the Jundallah army has been linked to the massacre of at least 150 Iranians and injuring many more. While American officials have distanced themselves to a degree from hostilities in Iran, specifically shrugging off any allegations that the US has ties to the recent assassination of an Iranian scientist, the reality of this discovery is that Mossad might very well be training Iranian terrorists and then sending them back out into the world with the impression that they are new CIA recruits. If captured during a botched intelligence mission for Mossad, those phony CIA agents could be forced into revealing their “true” identity — with only Israel really aware of the operation.

US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta denied claims that America was linked to the execution of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, the 32-year-old nuclear scientist, saying, “We have some ideas as to who might be involved…. but I can tell you one thing: The United States was not involved in that kind of effort. That’s not what the United States does.” Speaking for the Israeli Army, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai wrote on Facebook, “I have no idea who targeted the Iranian scientist but I certainly don’t shed a tear.”

Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has pinned the blame on both Israel and America, however, and told the state’s IRNA news agency, “We will continue our path with strong will … and certainly we will not neglect punishing those responsible for this act.”

Iraqi authorities have detained four armed American nationals over what the officials described as “suspicious” activity in the capital, Baghdad, Press TV reports.

Iraqi sources said the suspects, including two women, were arrested on Thursday as they were found traveling in a BMW car with a local license plate, instead of diplomatic registration.

The US nationals were wearing flak jackets and were armed with pistols equipped with silencers and automatic weapons when they were arrested in a Shia neighborhood in central Baghdad.

The four were detected and booked by Baghdad Governor Salah Abdel-Razzaq’s special guards, and were sent to the military’s sixth brigade for preliminary interrogations.

The arrests come shortly after the United States pulled out some 48,000 remaining American troops from Iraq to end its nine-year occupation of the oil-rich country.

The US Embassy in Baghdad has declined comment on the incident, which is seen as a violation of a security pact signed between Baghdad and Washington, under which all US soldiers were to exit Iraq by the end of 2011.

In 2003, the US and its allies invaded Iraq under the pretext of finding weapons of mass destruction allegedly stockpiled by the executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

However, later it was revealed that not only did not the Iraqi regime possess the weapons, but also that the US and British leaders, who had defended the military action, were already informed on their non-existence.

The US military invasion and occupation has left more than a million Iraqis killed, according to the California-based investigative organization Project Censored.

A senior lawmaker says assassination of Iranian scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan proves that the confidential information provided to international bodies by Iran has been leaked to the country’s enemies.

“The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must be trusted by nations because nations and governments give their documents to the agency,” said speaker of the Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Kazem Jalali on Wednesday.

“How the enemies of [the Islamic] establishment have obtained the names and information of our country’s elite is a question we would like to know the answer to,” he added.

Jalali stressed that the IAEA, international community and the UN nuclear agency’s member states using their membership against the Islamic Republic must be held accountable for their actions.

The lawmaker said the resemblance of the Wednesday assassination and other Zionist-American killings indicate that the “principle of assassination has been institutionalized in the American system and Zionist regime.”

“Assassinations like what happened in Tehran this morning lack operational value as such assassinations are called blind [acts of terror] which prove the maximum frustration of the enemies because they have not been able to weaken the [Iranian] nation’s resolve and therefore resort to any shameful measure,” Jalali said.

Ahmadi Roshan was a Sharif University of Technology chemical engineering graduate and served as the deputy director of marketing at Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility.

On Wednesday morning, an unknown motorcyclist attached a sticky bomb to Ahmadi Roshan’s car near Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran.

Ahmadi Roshan was immediately killed as the result of explosion, and his driver, who had sustained injures, passed away a few hours later in hospital.

The latest terrorist attack comes as Iran has reached an agreement with the P5+1 — Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States plus Germany – to hold negotiations in Turkey.

The US, Israel and their allies accuse Iran of pursuing a military nuclear program and have used this allegation as a pretext to sway the UNSC to impose four rounds of sanctions on Iran.

Based on these accusations, they have also repeatedly threatened Tehran with the “option” of a military strike.

This is while in November 2011, some of the US presidential hopefuls called for conducting covert operations ranging from assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists to launching a military strike on Iran as well as sabotaging Tehran’s nuclear program.

The calls for assassinations are not idle threats as a number of Iranian scientists have been assassinated over the past few years. Professor Majid Shahriari and Professor Masoud Ali-Mohammadi are among the victims of these acts of terror.

On November 29, 2010, Shahriari and Fereydoun Abbasi were targeted by terrorist attacks; Shahriari was killed immediately and Dr. Abbasi, the current director of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, only sustained injuries.

Iran says as the UN Resolution 1747, adopted against Tehran in March 2007, cited Abbasi’s name as a “nuclear scientist,” the perpetrators were in a position to trace their victim.

According to reports, Ahmadi Roshan had recently met International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, a fact which indicates that the IAEA has leaked information about Iran’s nuclear facilities and scientists.

Iran accuses Israel and the USA of assassinating an Iranian nuclear professor in Tehran, pointing to a string of attacks against such scientists in the country.

Both countries have denied the accusations, according to AP.

Iran’s vice-president reacted to the attack by saying it would not stop “progress” in the country’s nuclear program.

“Those who claim to be combating terrorism have targeted Iranian scientists. They should know that Iranian scientists are more determined than ever in striding towards Iran’s progress,” Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi told state television.

Identified by Iranian media as Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, the chemistry expert was killed on January 11 in a car-bomb explosion, while two others were injured.

“This morning a motorcyclist attached a bomb to a Peugeot 405, which exploded,” the deputy governor of Tehran province, Safar Ali Baratloo, was quoted by the ILNA news agency as saying.

The magnetic bomb, attached under Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan’s car, went off at a faculty of Iran’s Allameh Tabatai University.

“The bomb was a magnetic one and the same as the ones previously used for the assassination of the scientists, and the work of the Zionists [Israelis],” Fars quoted Safarali Baratloo as saying.

Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, 32, was a director of the Natanz Uranium enrichment facility in central Iran and specialized in making polymeric membranes which are used to separate gases. The technology of gas separation is required for the enrichment of uranium.

The blast follows confirmation made by the International Atomic Energy Agency on Monday that Iran has begun to enrich uranium in a new, underground bunker in Fordo, southwest of Tehran. The United States, Britain, France and Germany responded to the IAEA’s conformation, calling it an unacceptable “violation” of UN Security Council resolutions.

The blast, which comes amid extremely high international tensions over Iran’s nuclear program, is not the first crime against Iranian scientists involved in nuclear activities. Another three scientists were killed in 2010 and 2011 in similar circumstances. Those attacks were also considered by Iranian officials as assassination operations carried out by Israel’s Mossad intelligence service, possibly with help from US counterparts.

The international community believes, though, that Iran’s nuclear program is merely a front for its ambitions to create a nuclear weapon.

Tehran firmly denies that its nuclear program is for anything other but peaceful purposes and threatened to close the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, if Israel or the United States attacks Iran.

Dr. Maher Salloum of the Universal Peace Federation, believes Iran’s claims that the US or Israel were behind the assassination is a fair accusation.

“Consecutive assassinations against nuclear scientists inside Iran will lead to an example of how the West, actually, and the US, specifically, through Mossad or through the CIA, will always engineer or handle such assassinations inside Tehran,” he told RT.

Salloum also said a regional war would be likely if both sides continue escalating tensions. “I am predicting a certain regional war in the area if tension grows by time, and incidents, they grow like a snowball in the Gulf region, and specifically in the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran has shown its military power. So this will eventually escalate the situation inside the Gulf and specifically in Hormuz.”

War correspondent Eric Margolis told RT that the latest assassination, which he describes as an international crime, will not seriously affect Iran’s nuclear program. “It may slow things down, but it won’t end them because Iran is a big country, it has a large cadre of scientists. It will continue to work.”

According to Margolis, possible retaliation from Iran could be directed against Israeli or American scientific figures or diplomats in the region. “The Iranians are very anxious to get revenge, but they are being cautious because war seems not so far away in the Gulf,” he added.

While local U.S. police use excessive force and violence against OWS protesters, the U.S. government continues to attempt to spread “freedom and democracy” of this exact same kind around the world. Reports come in daily about beatings, clubbings, tasering, a female having her bicycle thrown at her and disabled veterans being abused.

Meanwhile, Libya attempts to free itself from this “freedom and democracy” scourge brought to Libya by thousands of terrorists: murderers, psychopaths, head chopping nut cases that enjoy bodily mutilation even when the body is already dead, raping women, looting, burning. Oh, the joy of freedom and demon-crazy compliments of NATO.

NATO literally dumped this murderous trash into the country, to fight alongside local criminals and traitors in order to plunder the country’s resources. So NATO did more than drop illegal weaponry, including chemical and biological agents…white phosphorous, depleted uranium, sarin. Outbreaks have occurred of tuberculosis due to biological weapons.

The water supply has both been bombed out of operation and poisoned. Western citizen taxpayer money was spent to “break the backs” of Libyans who will not submit to the terrorist government of NTC.

Now to move on to the brinkmanship being created with the Islamic Republic of Iran. My logic tells me that since that government of Iran gave its support to NATO and NATO’s terrorists in Libya, a fruitless, thankless ill-conceived decision, that they should be cut loose from my efforts at defense for the innocent. But my sense of humanity won’t allow me to do that and abandon them as they abandoned Libya to NATO terrorism.

One has a human duty to stand between murderer and victim. One has a human duty to expose lies that get people killed. One has a human duty to protect those being falsely accused.

The people are not the government. These people are descendants of a great culture and civilization who have shown compassion and kindness to their neighbors in distress. They don’t deserve to suffer the fate of other victims of western/U.S. imperialism. We can keep trying to succeed where our efforts did not prevent these horrors in the past.

No matter what, imperialism, colonialism and greedy capitalist exploitation must be opposed on every front it rears its ugly head. Other sectarian concerns must be set aside. The left has to get their collective heads out of the sand (I wanted to say something more personal here). Where, pray tell, is the anti-war movement?

Most Americans and westerners, when thinking of Iran, only see images of “hostages” being held, tbey’ve been taught to moan, groan and whine about it, but mostly to hate, without thinking about what precipitated that event.

They have have been led to believe that their countries were innocent victims of BAD, bad people and that their countries never do anything wrong, anything bad, anything evil when the opposite is true.

You see, Iran had elected a democratic, nationalistic government, that of Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh. His government didn’t think it was exactly fair that Iran get only 15% of the profits from their own oil, while the remainder went to British interests. They nationalized Iranian oil for the benefit of the Iranian people.

Therefore, a coup against Mossadegh, perpetrated by the United States, put the bloody dictator, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, into power. He was only too happy to please his benefactors with agreements beneficial to them.

The Shah’s government got the help and guidance of the CIA in creating the Iranian SAVAK, a vicious, brutal, fearsome secret police, something that the Iranian people can hardly forget.

Then the United States armed and instigated Iraq to attack Iran, with the unspoken goal of weakening both countries. They provided the very chemical and biological weapons they demonized Sadaam Hussein for. They also introduced nuclear energy to Iran. How’s that for irony?

The U.S. is fast becoming a hopeless case unless the people wake up. All presidental candidates want war with Iran with the exception of one (not likely to be elected either probably for that very reason).

Western instigated wars are fought to keep the military industrial complex booming, read rolling in cash, controlled by the one percent elite, while everyone else has to pay the enormous costs that allow that privileged elite to get richer, fatter and more arrogant.

In the process, jobs are lost, taxes go up, homes are lost to foreclosure, people are denied a health care system because millions are spent on the propaganda designed to create the illusion that hard working fellow citizens don’t deserve health care if they cannot afford it, it’s just that horrid thing known as socialism.

But the same people think nothing of the multi-million billion trillion dollar welfare handouts to the banks and corporations. They think nothing of the trillions being spent for war operations, bombs and keeping bases overseas…but heaven forbid a poor person get a stinking $100 bandaid in an emergency room with a national health insurance.

There have been a succession of incidents that in essence are acts of war against the Islamic Republic. First, there were the Twitter terrorist attacks at election time. There have been explosions on Iranian military facilities. Several Iranian scientists have been murdered. Then the drone flights to conduct espionage which culminated with Iran’s downing one such craft.

The west moves for more and more crippling sanctions. Never forget to learn from history…that every war has begun with the imposition of sanctions. The result? We stand precariously on the brink of confrontation…

The senior commander in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Ali Ashraf Nouri, said that the Iranian government has made the decision to close the Strait of Hormuz where a significant portion of the world’s oil passes if the country’s oil exports are blocked. There is nothing that gives justification for such a blockage.

Then from the other side, an American threat:

“We made very clear that the United States will not tolerate the blocking of the Straits of Hormuz,” Panetta told CBS television. “That’s another red line for us and that we will respond to them.”

Really, the Americans should take that “red line” and cram it where the sun don’t shine, who gave them the right to cross the ocean thousands of miles away and bother these people who have done nothing to no one?

U.S. behavior in making threats and taking actions against Iranian rights to develop peaceful nuclear energy are in violation of the Nuclear Non Prolifteration Treaty and the UN Charter in threatening war. Yet the mainstream western corporated media does not communicate these facts to the public.

With all the ships converging in close proximity in the Strait of Hormuz, an ideal opportunity presents itself: The sinking of the USS Maine, the Gulf of Tonkin, the Korean ship sinking they tried to blame on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea… American or Israeli ships or aircraft can be given Iranian markings and attack a U.S. ship in order to serve as a false flag pretext for starting a war with Iran.

Millions of lives will be lost in the process as the U.S. and Israel are conducting operations in close proximity to Russia, making it entirely possible for the atmospheric contamination to carry over by weather patterns onto the territory of Russia. Russia cannot tolerate this situation.

In Libya, we have seen how drug addicts, alcohol fiends, psychos and rapists have been used as cheap short cuts to achieve resource grabbing. The world is already quite familiar with the lies, the false flag operations, the need to create an excuse to start something frequently used by the U.S.A.

The world community needs to cut them off immediately in such an instance, and not give them any sympathy or support, just the opposite. If people allow these things to happen and progress as in the past…2012, if the world manages to survive until the end of it, will be a year fraught with unknown danger.

Anybody fancy waking up in the morning as a glow in the dark vaporized skeleton? Very possible, very possible…!

Note: The following topic is under heavy investigation, no conclusions have been made at this time. We do not yet know the full extent of the variation (mutation). No one has died from the strain at this time. It is also worth noting that this may be more scare tactics in order to further push and pad the pockets of the vaccine industry.

The CDC in Atlanta admits 12 people in 5 states have been infected, as the virus is now possibly transmitting on a human-to-human level.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the new H3N2v Virus has struck in 5 states in the CONUS (Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Pennsylvania and West Virginia), and contains a mutation variant of the 2009 H1N1 “Swine Flu” signaling the possibility of weaponization.

Backtracking to 2009, the H1N1 was deemed one of the most violent flu outbreaks in years — killing over 13,000 in the United States as people raced to the local Wal-Mart Super Center to get injected with the latest untested and fast-tracked toxic cocktail of death. (vaccine)

Although the flu was classified as novel, the fact remains that due to pandemic provisions implemented by former President George W. Bush and extended by the current Obama administration, in conjunction with the World Health Organization, the United States is technically under Pandemic Level 6 (silent martial law) until March of 2012 which gives the UN powers within the United States by way of treaty.

In essence. PDD51 has been primed.

According to reports, the new outbreak might have spread from pig to human.

A Journal Star article excerpt reads;

Still, livestock producers fear consumers may believe (unjustifiably) they can get a potentially lethal disease from eating pork. Flu is transmitted through droplets of infected body fluids when people cough, sneeze or talk.

“It’s always something that we need to keep an eye on, that it doesn’t get more severe or spread more quickly,” Liz Wagstrom, chief veterinarian with the National Pork Producers Council, which has offices in Des Moines, Iowa, and Washington. “It’s very important the public understand you can’t get flu from eating pork.”

During the H1N1 pandemic, China and Russia closed their markets to U.S. pork and industry revenue was estimated to have fallen by nearly $2.2 billion in the last eight months of 2009, according to the council. The H1N1 strain contained genetic material from five different flu viruses, including North American swine and bird flu and two swine flu viruses found in Europe and Asia.

Federal agencies have openly admitted they are not referring to the new H3N2v strain as “Swine Flu”, showing signs early on of a cover-up at hand.

The article continued to read;

“We are aware of the pork industry’s concerns,” said Jeff Dimond, an agency spokesman, in an interview. CDC has “gone overboard” not to use the description, he said.

The new virus, called H3N2v, contains a gene from the 2009 variant, according to the CDC. The agency is “taking this situation very seriously” and has increased surveillance in areas where cases occurred, according to a Dec. 9 CDC report. As a precaution, a candidate vaccine has been developed and provided to manufacturers so they can begin production if necessary, according to the report.

A CDC spokesperson was quoted saying; “This thing could get legs, so to speak”

A write-up by Top Secret Writers mentioned the fact that scientists have created a new H5N1 weaponized version, by open admission, stating;

However, it’s important not to forget that scientists have created a new strain of H5N1 (bird flu) that is extremely contagious and deadly.

So deadly, in fact, that the government has asked scientists to leave details out of their reports that cover how the virus was mutated, in order to prevent the information from being used by bioterrorists.

One scientist, virologist Ron Fouchier, said it is “one of the most dangerous viruses you can make.”

Paul Keim, chair for the U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity, said of the virus, “I can’t think of another pathogenic organism that is as scary as this one.”

His previous work was on anthrax, which he said isn’t scary at all compared to this new virus mutation.

The write up went on to ask the question — Could the 1918 flu epidemic happen again?

According to the SF Gate, Dr. Charles Chiu, head of the viral diagnostics laboratory at UCS stated;

“It’s better that we know what’s happening earlier rather than be surprised like we were with the 2009 pandemic, which came out of the blue…. We haven’t seen the emergence of, say, a new pandemic strain of influenza…. But we’ve been getting these worrisome trickles of reports. And these little stories are all reminders that influenza still poses a big threat, a global threat.”

The article goes on to promote the flu shot, also mentioning that the new strains might be resistant to vaccinations.

Meanwhile on the other side of the world a January 5th AP report states;

Vietnam has culled more than 2,500 chickens from a farm in the Mekong Delta area in an effort to contain a bird flu outbreak, officials said Thursday, amid heightened fears about the virus in the region.

Tests were carried out after several of the animals were found dead at a poultry farm in the district of Binh Phu, southern Vietnam, said Thai Quoc Hieu, deputy director of animal health in Tien Giang province.

The Intel Hub reported last week in an article entitled, Hong Kong Avian Outbreak – Kickoff to the Globalist Diabolic Agenda?;

Consistent gearing-up from governments worldwide toward pandemic preparedness at rapid rates since 2009 have been taking place behind the scenes as it has been documented that American government has prepared mass graves for U.S. citizens in case of a major catastrophic event such as a nuclear disaster or flu pandemic.

An chunk of a recent Time artice reads;

In fact, what unfolds with H3N2v could be similar to what happened in 1977, when H1N1 flu viruses suddenly re-emerged — possibly through a lab accident — after a 20-year absence. The new H1N1 infected mostly younger people who had never been exposed to a similar flu strain before, while older people proved more resistant.

Just in case things get worse, the CDC is looking to create a vaccine for the new H3N2v. Hopefully we won’t need it — but as the furor over man-made killer H5N1 flu viruses and the emergence of a new pandemic just three years ago shows, there are no guarantees with the flu.

The fact that it has now been openly admitted that the CDC is trying to keep a lid on this situation is concerning to say the least.

The not so distant future could appear as a bad scene from the newly released Hollywood thriller “Contagion.” Released at an opportune time, the movie views like a poorly crafted Psy-Op. Take a look for yourself.

The movie, possibly planted as a precursor to what the government already knows, contains what is known as “predictive programming”. The Intel Hub will continue to report on this matter as we gain information.

Hopefully the powers that shouldn’t be (the elite) have not yet released the hard kill that so many of their documents dance around through strategic wording and the purposeful use of vague wording within the many laws and regulations that cover pandemic preparedness and continuity of government.

Remeber potbelly globalists do want us all dead.

Will they go hot with it, or exterminate us over the next 50 years slowly with deadly poisons and cancers?

More than 3,000 people have been reported killed in South Sudan during a week of clashes between two tribes in the world’s newest state.

Hundreds of children are missing and entire villages are said to have been burnt as a huge raiding party from the Lou Nuer tribe swept through a remote area in the east of the country, attacking their neighbours, the Murle people.

The war party, estimated to be 6,000-strong, has been marching south towards the main town in the Murle area, Pibor, crossing hundreds of miles on foot.

The fighting is part of an escalating war of reprisals between two ethnic groups who rely for survival on vast herds of cattle in one of the least developed countries on earth, and launch regular raids to snatch livestock, women and children.

“There have been mass killings, a massacre,” Joshua Konyi, commissioner for Pibor county in Jonglei state, told Agence France-Presse. “We have been out counting the bodies, and we calculate so far that 2,182 women and children were killed and 959 men died.”

Sightings of the column of Lou Nuer fighters last week prompted the United Nations to send in peacekeepers and the South’s security force, the SPLA, to warn residents in Pibor to flee the town.

The UN has confirmed that tens, maybe hundreds, have died but has not been able to give an accurate figure as many of the killings have taken place in small settlements far from any communications.

The Murle’s home area in Eastern Jonglei state is among the least developed parts of South Sudan – which only gained its independence from the north in July last year. Mobile phones have only reached Pibor in the last 18 months and beyond a small clinic run by the medical charity MSF, there is no healthcare facility for hundreds of miles.

Only dirt tracks connect the town to the outside world and it is cut off completely for half the year during the rainy season, when planes often cannot land on its waterlogged airstrip.

Due to their isolation and rumoured involvement in child abduction, the Murle are widely distrusted by the country’s major tribes, the Dinka and Nuer. Their relative exclusion has seen very few Murle take senior roles in South Sudan’s new government or in the powerful SPLA.

Both the Murle and the Lou Nuer dispatch most of their young men to cattle camps, where they are responsible for guarding the community’s livestock and live away from the rest of society for months at a time. Large caches of weapons, often left over from two decades of civil war with the north, are stored in many of these camps.

During the dry season raiding parties cross into their rivals’ terrain in a series of sometimes epic raids and counter-raids.

Their have been attempts by the government to disarm different factions, especially in the vast state of Jonglei, where many of the clashes have taken place, but the administration has little authority over its outlying areas.

Jonglei state information minister, Isaac Ajiba, would not confirm or deny the claims made by commissioner Konyi, who is an ethnic Murle. “Yes, there have been casualties, but we don’t have the details,” he said.

South Sudan’s army spokesman, Philip Aguer, said he was waiting for his troops on the ground to report back on casualties: “For the assessment to be credible they must have gone into the villages to count all the bodies.”

A leader of Israel’s Christian minority has been stabbed to death in Tel Aviv’s district of Jaffa during a parade marking the birthday of Jesus Christ.

An unidentified assailant, dressed as Santa Claus, stabbed Gabi Kadees in the back during the Friday Orthodox Christmas procession and escaped the scene, senior Greek Orthodox cleric Atallah Hanna said.

Last month, Kadees had won a third term to lead Jaffa’s Greek Orthodox community in a controversial election.

Six suspects have been arrested and will be brought before a magistrate, according to police.

Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said on Saturday that police have set up a special unit to conduct a thorough investigation into the murder.

“We are following all leads, including rumors of a dispute within the Greek Orthodox community in Jaffa over the victim’s recent re-election as leader of the Jaffa Orthodox Church Association,” she said.
