Egypt on Verge of Civil War - Putin

Egypt is on the verge of a civil war, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday as tensions continued to escalate in the North African country between the supporters and opponents of deposed Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.

“Syria is already engulfed in a civil war and, no matter how sad it may sound, Egypt is also moving in the same direction. It would be good, if the Egyptian people avoided this fate,” Putin said during his working visit to Kazakhstan.

The Egyptian armed forces on Wednesday deposed Morsi and suspended the country’s constitution, Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi said in a televised address to the nation. He said the head of Egypt’s Constitutional Court, Adly Mansour, would lead the country during the transition period until an early presidential election is held.

Dozens have reportedly been killed and hundreds injured in clashes between Morsi supporters and opponents across the country since Morsi’s ouster from power.

I think this is a repeated pre-planned scenario. It’s now Egypt’s turn for plotted destruction as the last remaining real military power in the middle East region. I am not surprise by USA backing-up of MB whom the Egyptian people see after 1 year of rule as more dectators than Hosni Mubarak and also as Terrorism nurshering (Mursi has freed all the dangerous criminals and terrorists that Mubarak has been collecting them for years, and ordered the Army not to take actions against them). If you choose to beleive otherwise that what happened in Egyppt is a coup and not people’s will facilitated by the Army that saved Egypt from a far far worsen stage (only people on the ground can say this), then you are fore Egypt’s destruction and part of the plot no matter what you may assume of “human rights and so forth). May I ask you, why didn’t you do the same actions and sanctions on Myannmar?? On Israel??? On Syria???. You only see bunch of lies and horrific pics taken from Syria as being made by Egyptian Army and you decide to beleive it for your own interest. If you leave internal affairs to its people, you would have saved a lot of countries (Iraq, Syria, …etc). You just jump to false conclusions based on biased and wrong lies of media.

    May God Save Egypt.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I blame it to people that think they have a power over how other people should be ruled. The feeling that they don’t want to see unislamic behaviour around them is the problem. People wanting democracy and secularism wants freedom from opression and old fashioned religious laws and order. They believe everyone should be free to live their lives anyway they see fit (surely as long as it won’t affect others negatively) Respect to ones freedom. After all, we are here to do exactly that, live our lives the way we feel best.

      Dear Damien,
30 June revolution was never against religion, it’s all about democracy. Islam is not against democracy, democarcy is part of Islam. Islam teaching says everyone chooses his faith and religion. But the terrorism you see doesn’t represent Islam. These are bunch of ignorant terrorists misinterpreting Islam. Muslims beleive in all religions (Christianity, Judaism, ..etc) and all the profits, and all heavenly religions do condemn violence. Islam said there is nothing as atrocious as blood shed!!! where is Islam in what terrorists in Islam’s name are doing !!!! Egypt represent the modest Islam of Al-Azhar University, the only modest islamic teaching institute in the whole world, that’s why it’s strongly opposed and fought by the Muslim Brotherhood and other ignorant extermeists.

Thanks for your explanation. I understand Islam is not against democracy, but there are so many of these ignorant fanatics, thinking they have a say on others lives. Thinking only people they can trust, depend on, hire, be friends with, even see around them, are the fellow islamist fanatics. They hate the ones who want to live free of religious oppression. Where does this desire to oppress come from, if it’s not their interpretation of religion, what is it? And why so many of them interpret Islam this way?

I’m Turkish and we are currently debating this in my country as well. Government is trying to erase our savior Ataturk and the secular country he created. They want to bring back the Ottoman style islamist ruling. I don’t think they will succeed, but how dare they even think about trying. To me, islam is a disease we picked up while we were passing by Arabic countries to arrive today’s Turkey. Face it, there can not be a God as it’s described in religions. It’s impossible. Anyone with that kind of power could create a better world. Why do any children die? Why do any innocent tortured? If this is the best he could do, sorry, but no respect. If he’s doing these on purpose, what kind of being does it make him? Religion and god never made sense to me. Fact is, we treat each other much better than god treats us.

If I say these in an open area in any Islamic country, they’d stone me to death and still believe they will go to heaven. Does this make sense to you? I understand being born in an Islamic country, one hardly uses their logic to think about these things. But if god exist, he gave me this brain and this level of reasoning.

Fact is, when we die, all will disappear and that’s the end of it.

I don’t mean to disrespect your beliefs, just couldn’t help but showing you mine.
