US must back Israel war on Iran: Senate legislation

US Senator Lindsey Graham

A bipartisan group of US senators are pushing for a legislation to force the government to prop up any military action that the Israeli regime adopts against Iran in “self-defense.”

The non-binding measure, introduced by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ), is actually aimed at pushing President Barack Obama to intensify sanctions against Iran and will be unveiled during the upcoming conference of the pro-Israeli lobby in the US, American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington DC this weekend.

“If the Government of Israel is compelled to take military action in self-defense, the United States Government should stand with Israel and provide diplomatic, military, and economic support to the Government of Israel in its defense of its territory, people, and existence,” the resolution reads.

“This is not a green light to Israel to do anything other than defend itself (and a promise that) we will be there,” Graham, a member of the Senate’s Committee on Armed Services, said at a press conference, the Huffington Post reported.

“In the event Israel had to take preventive action, we would have their back,” Graham added.

The supporters of the legislation in the Senate said they hoped that the measure will be passed before President Obama takes his first trip to Israel on March 20.

The top military brass in the US has at times expressed concern that the US is not willing to be dragged into a war that Israel may wage against Iran.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey warned last year that the he did not like the US to be “complicit” in an Israeli attack on Iran.

Israel has threatened to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities based on the allegation that Iran is covertly seeking to produce a nuclear bomb, a claim Tehran has categorically rejected.

Last year when the Israeli regime was beating the drums of war against Iran, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said the Israeli regime is too small to survive even one week of real war.

Is graham a crypto-jew, or is he just another gentile being played a fool by the jews? He probably thinks the bible is his real heritage and doesn’t understand that his heritage was lost when the jews came to his European ancestors’ farmlands and forced the bible upon them using the most horrific forms of terrorism imaginable (burning at the stake, etc) to convert them for over a thousand years. Yep, christians from the south can’t readilly grasp the concept or they’re just too damned scared to stand up to their rich jew masters.

How short are the memories of the 6 day war – when the armies of 4 muslim nations attacked Israel – and yet, Israel decisively destroyed all the enemy capabilities. Go to youtube and listen to what King Hussein of Jordan actually said at the end of the 6 day war. Quote (paraphrased) ‘The attacked, it was a sustained attack FROM THE AIR on every battalion, every position – it was non-stop, 24 hours a day…’ so, Irans leadership should be very careful in thinking Israel can not initiate and sustain an unrelenting attack on all military installations and overcome the threat.,
