Russia and China warn America against Iran strike as tensions rise

The Iranian nuclear power plant in Bushehr, southern Iran - a site that may be targeted in a mooted military strike.

Russia and China have expressed growing concern about a possible American military strike against Iran over its nuclear programme.

And this week the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is to publish a damning report with ‘compelling evidence’ that Iran is secretly building an arsenal of nuclear warheads.

Fresh details suggest that Iran could even be ‘nuclear ready’ within months.

And laying bare the disturbing extent of the country’s atomic weapons programme will increase calls in the United States for pre-emptive action against the Islamic state.

And that plays into the hands of Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who is said to be pushing for an airstrike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

However, Iran has threatened to retaliate by blocking the Strait of Hormuz, severing 40 per cent of the world’s oil supplies.

Russia’s foreign minister today became the latest critic of any proposed action against Iran warning it would be ‘a very serious mistake fraught with unpredictable consequences’.

Sergei Lavrov added: ‘The only path for removing concerns is to create every possible condition’ to resume the talks between Iran and six world powers, which broke down last December.

China has also expressed concern about a military strike against Iran, but has also urged Tehran not to be confrontational with the IAEA.

Moscow and Beijing have signaled concern that the report will box Iran into a corner and dim any chance of diplomacy resolving the dispute, which has the potential to spark a wider conflict in the Middle East.

‘The Russians in particular have been lobbying quite intensively,’ one senior Western diplomat said.

Meanwhile former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has weighed in to slam Iran saying the U.S. should consider even tougher penalties against the Iranian government and ‘be doing everything we can to bring it down.’

Rice told ABC’s This Week that the U.S. should never take the option of military force off the table when it comes to dealing with Iran.

The current Iranian government is trying to obtain a nuclear weapon and has repressed its own people, she said.

‘The regime has absolutely no legitimacy left,’ she added.

Israeli President Shimon Peres has also expressed a determination to launch a military strike against Iran.

‘The possibility of a military attack against Iran is now closer to being applied than the application of a diplomatic option,’ he said over the weekend.

‘I estimate that intelligence services of all these countries are looking at the ticking clock, warning leaders that there was not much time left,’ he added.

Republican candidate Rick Perry, last week came out to back an Israeli air strike on Iran.

The Texas Governor said he would support Israel on the matter if there is proof Tehran is moving closer to having a nuclear weapon.

The news comes as a former Soviet weapons expert and scientists in Pakistan and North Korea are all believed to have aided Iran in its nuclear quest, according to the United Nations.

The latest intelligence provided to UN nuclear officials, due for publication on Wednesday and obtained by the Washington Post, suggests former Soviet weapons scientist Vyacheslav Danilenko allegedly taught Iranians how to build high-precision detonators that could trigger a chain reaction during the mid 1990s.’

But it makes clear the Iranians want to be able to build such weapons quickly if need be.

And thanks to outside help, the Iranians are now on ‘the threshold’ of making a nuclear warhead small enough to fit on top of a ballistic missile, says the study.

One key technical breakthrough, say the IAEA’s intelligence sources, is that Iran has learnt how to design a device known as an R265 generator.

It added there was also evidence to suggest other precision technology linked to experts in Pakistan and North Korea had helped advance Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Iranian officials appear unconcerned.

Iran’s foreign minister and former nuclear official, Ali Akbar Salehi, told the Mehr News Agency: ‘Let them publish and see what happens,’ adding that the uproar over the country’s nuclear programme was ‘100 per cent political’ and that the IAEA is ‘under pressure from foreign powers.’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday the U.S. feared Iran’s growing military power because it is now able to compete with Israel and the West.

‘Yes, we have military capabilities that are different from any other country in the region,’ he said. ‘Iran is increasing in capability and advancement and therefore we are able to compete with Israel and the West and especially the United States.’

‘The U.S. fears Iran’s capability. Iran will not permit (anyone from making) a move against it.’

One part of the IAEA’s report is thought to reinforce concerns that Iran continued its nuclear programme after 2003 – the year that U.S. intelligence agencies believed it had bowed to international pressures to halt experiments.

One Iranian document suggests scientists had been discussing plans to start a four-year study of neutron initiators beginning in 2007 – four years after the 2003 deadline, according to sources.

‘The programme never really stopped,’ David Albright, a former UN weapons inspector who has seen the intelligence files said according to the Washington Post.

‘After 2003, money was made available for research in areas that sure look like nuclear weapons work but were hidden within civilian institutions,’ he added.

Tehran denies secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons, insisting it is enriching uranium for reactors to generate electricity.

But Iran has become increasingly belligerent in recent weeks because of constant Western threats and tensions are continuing to mount over its ambitions.

The country’s history of concealing sensitive nuclear activity and its refusal to suspend work that can potentially yield atomic bombs have already been punished by four rounds of U.N. sanctions, and separate U.S. and European punitive steps.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Britain was drawing up contingency plans for any military action.

Commanders were working out how to deploy Navy submarines equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles in case President Barack Obama decides to launch missile strikes against Iranian bases.

Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defence minister Ehud Barak are reportedly agitating for pre-emptive action.

Mr Netanyahu is seeking Cabinet support for an attack and earlier this week Israel test-fired a new long-range missile.

Look…I’ve been looking at the Iran situation, and here’s my thoughts…

Even if Iran “lobbed one” at Israel, and it hit Jerusalem or TelAviv…

THE WIND BLOWS from off the back of the Italian boot, and down toward Israel, and from there it can travel anywhere from DUE EAST to SSE….so a Range from the Southern part of Russia down to MECCA (!!!) is a possibility for any FALLOUT CLOUDS to travel.

So why would Iran really want to LOB ONE, when the blowback would almost invariably go back toward THEM??? Besides….HAARP can’t make the Nile flow in a different direction…and it can’t change wind flow patterns in the Middle East. It just can’t do it…no matter HOW HARD they try…it can’t be done.

Plus…if Israel were “wiped off the map” as AJad once quipped, then there would be no FOIL or scapegoat, for Iran or the other Arab Countries to use anymore, as a constant excuse for treating the Palestinians living among THEM, WORSE…than how the United States allowed whites to treat Black folks living in the South during the height of “Jim Crow.”

The only reason why Iran would want a Nuclear Missle system operational is for MONETARY BACKING. SHARIA forbids them from allowing practices of domestic Usury, and Saudi Arabian Oil production is indirectily controling their RIAL…

Ike’s Grandson David Eisenhower was reported to have relayed a story about his Grandfather, the former President, who, shortly after taking office in 1953, held a meeting with this financial and his military advisers, where, he floated the “idea balloon” of backing the Dollars on the Nukes. Unfortunately, his advisers shot that “idea balloon” down faster than a UFO flying over Roswell, hence, perhaps one of the reasons behind his statement as he left office, “BEWARE THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.”

Now…how much is anyone willing to bet, that Supreme Ayatollah KhAmeni (successor to KhOmeni, with the kinder, gentler face, bearing nice gold-rimmed LensCrafter-bought Foster-Grants, with what looked like NO-RIM BIFOC’s) got ahold of that bit of information, and told Ajad– the one wearing Casey Kasem’s Hair, and the Beige Armani Windbreaker– about it? Vegas odds say “Sho’nuff!” So…

Now….what happens, with the whole world marching toward what looks like WWIII, that Obama DOES NOT make the supposed biblical “7 year” Peace Deal, but it’s someone ELSE?

What happens if it’s members of the Banking Elite, as a 7-member Group with some name, having 10 “horns?”

Here’s a weird one…maybe even FUNNY (even though I know no one wants to joke about these things…except maybe GOD to just mock the stuffings out of everyone here…’cuz He can…)

What happens if the 7 heads and 10 horns is a band of Musicians? Rumor has it that “Lucifer” was the Angel in charge of Music…

      Here’s an idea.

      Why not MOVE ISRAEL?

Yeah. That’s right. Move Israel to Texas, along the Rio Grande, giving them TWICE the land, as long as they can build the fence, to keep the Rest of Latin America out of Texas, and the other southern border states, as the border states worry about the drug cartels “Zetas,” MS-13, and the other Mexican Drug Lord Gangs…and anyone who wants to go, can go, INCLUDING the Palestinians…provided they are willing to become “New Israelis,” who are willing to help build the fence….

The only problem is…finding the Ark of the Covenant, for, as the Ark travels, so should the Children of Israel go…rumor has it according to a few sites, that the Ark somehow was situated under the HOLE where they planted Jesus Christ’s crucifix, on Golgotha.
The old biblical legends had it, that, you could somehow KILL GOD, if, he was sitting or positioned above his throne. And the ARK, to many Hebrews, WAS his Throne.

So, find it, and bring it to Texas. Make a home for the Jewish Nation there.

And where Israel WAS, you put, whatever you took away from TEXAS, and put it there as “EASTERN TEXAS”

And anyone who is still dwelling there, you allow them the chance to become “Natural Born American Citizens” by declaration, and taking the Oath of Citizenship…so that perhaps, if “BiBi” wanted to…he could be President of the United States. (From his speech to the joint session of Congress, here, it sure sounded like he could…)

      OR…here’s another idea.

Just offer Israel Statehood, and allow them to become the 51st State, unless Russia or China can offer them better statehood packages to compete.

Knowing that there ARE Russian and Chinese commerical (and perhaps strategic) interests there, then any attack from any of the Arabian Countries…would be NOT ONLY an Attack on the United States, but also an ATTACK on Russia and China as well.

And if Russia and China did not want to defend their interests there for whatever political reasonings…then the United States would have to defend ALL THREE Interests…and send Russia and China the bill…(which could possibly offset any debt holdings China or Russia might have against the United States!)

:-x The problem with that is God gave them land the size of Texas and it should and always be there’s…..

        • John Allcock

If God gave them the land, where are the title deeds? I wanna see them. The only thing God gave those terrible people was a thieving mentality. I hope Iran turn that horrible land into a stain glass window, along with the scum who inhabit it. :-x . Unfortunately the Iranians don´t have a A bomb, and they don´t have plans to build one either. That´s just zionist media jive to get their oil. When are you people gonna wake up?

          • Kapt Blasto

Uhhh…’Scuse me John, but you’re an idiot.
            Plain and simple. Know why?

Because whether they’re Hebrew, Sephardic, Ashkenazi, or otherwise…the Jewish people are just that…PEOPLE, just like YOU and ME.

And they ought to have the right to live ANYWHERE they wish…in peace.

It’s bad enough that we have to sit here, and read what YOU think God gave the Jews….

It might be better to read how God gave YOU a penchant for compensatory attitudes.

I mean…with talk like that, you MUST be compensating for SOMETHING, aren’t you, Mr. Allcock?

Maybe you’re just frustrated because your Chacellor Angela Merkel can show HER endowment tastefully in public, and make other women JEALOUS, and more MEN wishing they had what SHE’s got….

:-o jajajaj that is the funniest damn post I have read! A Mark Twain for ya.

Heres is a thought, why not just leave everyone alone to tend to their own business. Iran has not attacked anyone since well before the 1800’s. We are purposely going around toppling regimes and if you look at the evidence you will see that each regime Libya, Iraq, Egypt, and Iran all want or in some of the cases wanted to sell oil only for gold or silver and not the dollar. Hmmmmm…..imagine that all of a sudden one country stops selling oil for dollars. If one does it they all will do it and that is why certain leaders are no longer in power. So much bloodshed all over paper money that is worthless because it is not backed by anything valuable like gold for example. Just something for you folks to think about.
