Once in Thailand I tried froglegs and drunk snakeblood with red wine. Neither was tasty for me. After fulfilling my friends’ fun to comply with their request, I did not ever touch anything but beef, chicken, fish, pig or some seafood. Eating dogs, cats (!!) is insane. I would not do even in a hostile situation.
Another friend of mine has an Asian wife, (Viet or Chinese, don’t know), she never ever attempted to bring any shit like this into his house. So, I believe this is merely education or lack of education in China.

Well, where there is poverty…people will eat anything that is available. It’s very sad that any animal has to die to be our food…not just the especially cute ones. Maybe if the world worked together…conditions could improve. Even if they refused to give up cats and stuff as food…maybe more humane methods to kill the animals could be used…so they would not suffer before or during death. I’m so thankful for the blessings in my life and I pray for the relief of all pain and suffering…mental, physical, and spiritual…on this earth.
