A white supremacist group says they want hate crime charges filed in the Belleville West bus attack case. The group plans to hold a rally at the courthouse in Belleville on Saturday.
The regional director of the Anti-Defamation League and prosecutors in this case, say the bus attack was not a hate crime. A counter protest is not planned at this time.
Belleville police tell News 4 that they are aware of the rally and will be watching. NSM88 (a US neo-nazi organization) contradicted ADL and said that the attack was a hate crime.
There’s also St. Clair County State’s Attorney Robert Haida who “finds no evidence incident was a hate crime”
